If he plays even 70 games this season, he's going to command a lot more than 75 mm for 3 years. He's going to want a superstar contract ASAP. My thinking is that we should trade him at the deadline while his value will probably be very high. Who who? I don't know but there will be people interested. I don't think he'll be worth the contract he can potentially get.

Same, but I think his game is also getting better as we go on. If he can more consistently hit the 10 foot push/jump shot, he'd be deadly. Can he learn to be a better passer? Don't know but Jennings has turned into more a passer than shooter.

I don't see his value every being "high" at the trade deadline. He's an expiring contract. Teams that would want him would want him for a title run, and most contenders have elite PGs. They aren't trading for him to be a 6th man, because they know he won't be paid like a 6th man the following year. So teams would essentially be trading for a rental in most situations and asking him to play a role he has never been in. Maybe there is a scenario that i can't think of off the top of my head, but i don't see where he would ever have real value. Maybe late first round pick or something at best.

That's my problem. He's wonderful at getting to the basket and hitting the layups but he doesn't seem to be passing well and he's not shooting well at all either. He's eventually going to become very guardable despite his quickness. He AT LEAST needs a mid-range shot. I'm honestly not sure why this has been an issue.

He doesn't have the court vision or passing skills I would like to offer him big money as his athleticism and speed decline. His shot is not reliable enough for him to slowly change his game to pass first with a reliable Jumper. If he is moveable for a good young Pg I am kind of for that. It will take just the right person, maybe there is that team we can talk to that would take something with Rose. One idea, Hawks, if we got Schroder and they got Rose with a pick or something I'm for that, he's looking really good, but Rose would be better to push against the Cavs with Millsap and howard. Just an idea and it probably wouldn't happen, but if it did it is worth our while. Rose is playing well for the while and can for sure help a contending team push for a finals appearance, they would just need some sort of commitment from Rose to return on a new contract.

First off let me say I think Rose has had a good year so far in terms of getting to the basket and his quickness seems like it has returned for now. also he has games where he has shown some good passing skills. HOWEVER I still wouldn't give him a longterm deal for a few reasons. First even though he looks healthier this year he still has had a lot of injuries the past 5 years and that fear will be always be there. Secondly even though I complimented \him on having some good passing games it is still a bit inconsistent and he doesnt have a outside shot. I wouldn't be opposed to a 2 year deal but I don't want to be stuck with a Noah type contract which is started to scare me.

Did anyone really watch this kid when he won the MVP and has his game declined very much? How did he shoot that year?
Turn overs?
Shooting %?
3pt?

Im being lazy here not looking it up, or if anyone caught a lot of Bull games then and can describe him then and now.

all he needs to do is figure out how to run those BS pick and pop plays that Mebury used to run and Rose will get his

I think we will just let the season ride out with Rose. If he continues to play at this level, the 3-year/75m is a fair offer. I am not as comfortable with more years or more money. He should never get paid more than Melo, even with the cap increase. So the max at 4 years should be off the table. 3 years at 75m is probably fair. His contract length should coincide with Melo, Noah, and Lee, giving us an opportunity to reset and look at the options at the end of those contracts. If that is not of interest, i am fine giving Jennings a fair contract, who might be just as valuable to this team, and signing Darren Collison to come off the bench, who has proven to be one of the best backup PGs in the league and more than capable starter. He would be an easy steal from Sacramento, who will likely be rebuilding yet again, and will take advantage of the PG-heavy draft.
