Knicks · Marshall Plummlee is War! (page 1)

I freaking love this guy.

Dude runs hard up and down the court every... single... time. He is not intimidated by contact. He is not afraid to foul and hurt someone's feelings. Most importantly he's not afraid of making that hard protect the rim foul. He's going to attack the rim if he's given an opportunity. He's a true motherfletching soldier.

Been loving this guy's moxie since day one!!! He's just what they need in terms of effort and toughness. The guys who tried to say he was garbage just didn't understand what he was all about.

Totally agree. You can't have all skill players in your roster. You must have grunts to do the dirty work. Almost all championship teams have a player(s) like this.

I thought he should of been in the game over KOQ to finish out. KOQ was bad KOQ last night especially his under the basket play on both ends of the court.

Call it what it is, HEART!! Amundson went to 11 different teams with less size and skill set. We just got another one, early. Hey, we might even teach him a few offensive moves over the next few years!

RicanHavok @ 12/1/2016 12:42 PM
I also love how he positions himself defensively when helping, very high defensive IQ imo.
fitzfarm @ 12/1/2016 1:06 PM
He's like a harder working Chris Dudley and Dudley was a hard worker/basher ! Plumlee deserves minutes
bernard @ 12/1/2016 1:28 PM
What struck me most about him last night -- how hard he runs to set a pick! Makes you realize how much most guys just go through the motions when running the offense. Not Plummlee. That and watching him sprinting to congratulate Melo after the win and Melo basically looking him off. That was pretty funny.
Definitely earned some more minutes last night. Agree with that.

He's not totally unskilled tho. He's just not confident in his offense. He can do some things but he knows he's in there for his hustle and D. I can tell you that he's got a far better looking jumps shot than Noah.

Dudley was good but he was a hack. He couldn't score at all. Plummlee can finish inside and has shown he can explode to the rim. He can hit the jumpshot too.

I'm most impressed with Plummlees conditioning. He was slow and lazy looking in summer league. Man did he change that. He's a monster out there now. He's not gonna get the numbers yet, but this guy is going to fuck shit up for the minutes he's out there. I think his contributions are valuable and unique. We need him out there at least 10 mins a game especially when Noah can't play.

He was damn good last night. Couldn't stop KAT but no one could, man. That kid's on a different planet...but he provided great hustle and a fierceness we really needed. I've been calling for this guy for awhile now and last night at least, he showed his worth. He had a lot to do with maintaining and then expanding that lead to 17. I felt like when he (and KP) came out, we lost our edge...Great job. If Noah can't go, this guy for what he provides (very similar intangibles), is a great replacement. I'm hit or miss with at lot of issues surrounding Phil Jackson but one thing he did a great job of -- improving team depth. No question about that. This is a deep group 1-15. Courtney Lee goes out, we have Holiday, Vujacic (gotta give him credit for staying ready), then there's Baker who can play...Noah goes out, there's ample help behind him (KOQ, Willy, now we might start seeing more Plumlee). And not only those two positions--I feel like we're a good 3 deep at every position. That's big. Deepest team we've had in a long time..
Nalod @ 12/1/2016 3:17 PM
Can we just Nickname him "War"?

War Plumlee!!!

Does anyone remember old celt Joe Klein? That's plum but at a bargain price
jrodmc @ 12/1/2016 5:14 PM
Marshall Law!

I wonder if our old Bruise Brother defensive coach gets all teary-eyed watching this yoot operate?

Plumlee actually slowed KAT down for a while until he adjusted to his physicality. That's all we needed was someone to make KAT work harder for his points.

This is a deeper roster than we've had. Phil did a nice job of filling in with quality guys. If Melo hadn't hit a bit of a wall we'd have won a couple more games. Still once Melo started playing more team ball and letting the rest of the team get involved it helped. This is a learning process for everyone.

He was awesome. The guy just plays hard the entire time he is on the floor. He should be in the rotation.

Can understand this comparison...

Of course Klein was the #6 pick in his draft...even though he was the same age as Plumlee, if you can believe it.

Plumlee is a good guy to have on the bench in case you need a banger every now and then.

Hes a guy you put in to fuck shit up. Protect Porzingis and put body's on the floor. 6 fouls enforcer!
