I didn't expect this going in, but we got a lot of guys that can ball. With the emergence of guys like Holiday, O'Quinn, Willy, and Kuz, seems like we'll have all the depth we need if these guys stay healthy. And just think, what if Lance gets back to his last-year form and Noah remembers how to shoot.

man I just want Noah to remember how to play ball lol
We have a nice group. Right now it looks like:
C Noah
F Porzingis
F Melo
G Lee
G Rose
C Hernangomez
F/C O'Quinn
F Thomas
G Holiday
G Jennings
F Kuz
G Vujacic
C Plumlee
F Ndour
G Baker
We have a legit 10 man rotation with Kuz and Vujacic being the filler for whomever is out. Kuz is legit, and right now out of the rotation. That is not a bad thing. It says that we have the ability to fill roles with quality players and sustain short-term injuries to key players.
The defense still needs to get better cause we won't be able to beat the top teams if it doesn't especially in a series.
This is what I was hoping for before the season. I was pretty confident in the top 7 already. IMO it was just a matter of time before things started to come together. I was very high on the overall talent on this team but obviously we needed to see how the new players adjusted to the NBA. For once we really have seen most of the talent work out the way we hoped.
I'm a bit surprised that the defense has not be better but there's still a chance for this team to improve in that area. I've been pointing out that they do in fact play good D in stretches, but that they lack any consistency. This could be just a matter of needing time to develop more chemistry.
Girlfriend and I watch Frazier all the time...The best TV shows always have a cast of character actors who emerge every now and then to provide performances which can carry a scene...or even an episode.
It is VERY EARLY in the season for a team that had the turnover we had in the off-season, but so far we seem to have a team where each game might have a different hero(s).
Fun group to watch and we seem to have a number of guys who are able to step up at certain moments or extended minutes during a game.
I think it is only going to get better. We will have some down games, but at this point in the season we seem to be showing some resilience. We have a lot of proud guys...some who have been leaders at various points in their careers, and I think we are seeing that we have a number of players willing to step up in certain situations and do what has to be done.
Hopefully things continue to evolve in a positive way.
kuz will be back in the rotation if he plays holiday style D. offensively he is obviously more creative...
i think he creates more for himself when melo and kp are not on the floor...which is rare.
Wonder what happens when Randle comes back, if he comes back? Bye bye Baker?
I really like how Horny is working his rotations. He's got almost all of the yoots just showing enough to have you salivating.
This Noah/O'Quinn Manimal is quite the sight to see.

I don't think the KNicks see Randle ahead of Baker on their depth chart.

yea.. Randle played well running the team but he plays no defense and his tiny on a team that is already having defensive issues

I think maybe you're being a bit harsh on Randle. He's the same size as Jennings but even stronger and more athletic. Don't underestimate Randle based on how he may have looked early on. I think he can handle a role in the NBA. I think he was going to get a spot before he broke his face.

I don't watch any of the Westchester games but do follow their boxscores. Randle is plying the PG position and is barely doing average. D is suspect and his shooting is underwater.

That's too bad. I thought he was gaining progress before the injury. Hopefully he gets his game on track at some point. That's what D League is all about. We'll see.
I really like willy. Liked what I saw in the olympics(although he didn't get much playing time) and he has shown to be a smart big man. This is why I stress draft picks and the reason we need to keep them

yeah and his defense has been a lot better than it was reported to be. I wasn't sure how much time he would get off the bench. Also, O'Quinn has been fantastic. I thought he was the guy to be traded, cut, etc. during training camp and the preseason. Guys have played big when they have needed to and players seem to be fitting into the roles given them. Even Baker seems to be one of the guys that gets the bench into the game.
We are a really bad defensive team. But at least we are winning the games we should. Rose and Jennings are playing their roles well, KP is hot and cold, definitely want more consistency from him. Melo should stick to getting his shot off in 4 seconds or passing the rock. If he can't do that he should sit. Noah has been a bit disappointing.
Willy has been good in the little I have seen, KOQ has def proved me wrong.

Thanks martin!
It's seems like decades ago people were yearning for Jimmer. Randle sounds like he's not even at that level now. Too bad.
