Knicks · For those bummed about Noah's contract (page 2)

Noah's value is if he can pass, set screens and board. Problem with our teams starting 5 is we don't have great off the ball cutters. Melo is a 1 on 1 scorer. Rose is a driver. KP can cut but he's so big he takes up so much space. So KP is best off outside with the starters or posting up on a mismatch. Lee can cut but is not a great finisher at the rim he is much better as a shooter. Where Noah would thrive more is in a more open court free offense with Jennings, Holiday, Kuz, and Thomas. They can just move the ball fast and cut more. Take more 3 pointers play a pace and space offense.
I would switch Billy and Noah or OQuinn and Noah in the rotation and see how it goes.
For sure I'm very disappointed with what we have gotten so far from Noah. However we could be using him better if we play him with smaller quicker lineups.

He played a year of college ball at Memphis.

To be honest...I do not see much difference from this clip(26 pts, 19rebs) of Noah than now. The only thing is he a little more active. I think he will get it going, but he is not a jump shot or a back to the basket guy. He gets clean up pts and putting him in the position to make passes to cutting teammates.

^^. I'm in this camp. Noah is our number one area to improve. And right now it's all mental. We need a horse whisperer or hypnotists.
He also brings a resolve and winning attitude. Let's be patient w this guy. Phil won w Dennis Rodman who had zero offensive talent. Noah has some but it's mentally blocked. Honestly if he could start hitting free throws close to the way he used to, he'd be that much more aggressive on offense

He went for 30 minutes last nite. There is more to this story than we know. one nite he plays 11 min then sits? Seems like he is playing his way into shape. Im just guessing.
