Is losing the HBO show the last straw for Simmons. I felt like I need to get high before reading this. Good points about Giannis, but McHale/Davis comparison is something that only a delusional Celtics fan would come up with.

Porzingis is the Unicorn. That's his nickname. No one in the NBA had ever called anyone that before or used that phrase before. Kevin Durant coined the name for KP and KP only. It's his. Screw Bill Simmons for trying to act like it's a way to categorize players. That's like asking who the real Truth is or the real Magic. Was Paul Pierce actually the most Truthiest player in the league? It's missing the damn point. It's KP's nickname.

That said, Giannis and Embiid are both fun as hell. It's exciting that there are so many young multi-dimensional bigs in KP, Towns, Brow, Giannis, and Embiid right now.

His McHale comparison numerically to Davis was interesting. Different era, and Simmons made it clear about Davis superior athletic prowess.
Giannis is only 22 and still has a crazy upside. Certainly an amazing athlete that can play all 5 positions. KP can't.

Embiid is interesting because we had to wait so long to see him, and I suppose we expected Andrew Bynum 2.0. Lets see if he is healthy.
Philly trades Nerlans and Joel gets injured they are screwed again.
But aren't we ll if our 'Corn's get hurt!!!

In the mood for some gossip??..Apparently a few years ago on the ESPN NBA Countdown, Bill Simmons wanted Wilbon's role diminished and his role was cut back...Magic Johnson got upset and quit the show...So now that Simmons is gone, both Magic and Wilbon will be back...Interesting because I always thought Simmons was the weak link of that show...He seemed out of place, comments always seem off key and gossipy which the others didn't engage in...Who knew he was "the man" of that show all the time...

Simmons used to be tge best sports writer by a mile but he is out of touch with the nba now and just goes to fictional hypitheticals and ideas and usually random stats to support his point of views. He also is biased as fuck but always has been. It sucks actually i used to get excited for his articles then zack overtook him but im kinda over him now too. The ringer is pretty average in general seems like they have opinions similar to that of 12 year olds
