Knicks · Still like Seth Curry (page 1)

I think hes way more efficient than Jennings and I think here with the additional space will easily shoot over 40% from 3.

If we offer up one of our 2nd round picks Baker and 3mm in cash I think we can get it done.

StarksEwing1 @ 12/27/2016 1:11 PM
Curry and thomas are two guys i Would love to get but i doubt we could afford isiah thomas

I get the general idea but really don't know if it makes sense when you can just bring up a kid like Randle for next to nothing and continue to develop Baker. I actually think Randle has similar talent to Seth if given a chance.

its a BIG jump for Randle. I get what you are saying and like randle but i would want someone who has had some success in the nba

I think with time Randle could make the adjustment to the NBA level. A talented scorer like Randle is going to get some great looks playing with the talent level we have in the NBA. The shots are there for our PG's but neither Rose nor BJ are really confident 3pt shooters like Randle. Randle is the real deal in terms of his shooting. Also it's a simple move for him to play in a system that is familiar. I'd rather give that a shot before looking to make any drastic moves.

i do like randle and i take into account the salary situation would be much better with him. I just meant at this moment i would go with experience. But im excited to see randle hopefully make a successful jump

True--maybe time to give Randle the chance Curry got.

Obvious difference is that Curry has now done this over 100 NBA games--but we also would have to give up and we have no idea if Dallas would even be interested.

This roster is closer than it has been in the past to being solid but that actually makes it harder to make moves in a way, since we have more of our own assets in the cupboard for once. I want the Knicks to be very careful in how they use assets from now on.

I don't understand why the Knicks would be interested.

Curry to me seems like a SG and the Knicks are set at that position.

The Knicks need to improve their D

callmened @ 12/27/2016 9:04 PM
Mavs just signed curry. I doubt they'll trade him

Instead of Randle or Seth curry, I'd pick up Gibson. First of all he's AVAILABLE and this yr he proved he could at least hang in the NBA

I'd try Randle first. There are almost two months to the trade deadline. Evaluate Randle before that.

Can Randle play defense? Can Curry? Our offense could improve - but it ain't the problem. I'd take a good defensive player at any position over a 3 pt shooter. Defense is the much bigger problem.

Now that Pierre Jackson has signed with the Mavs Briante Weber is at the top of my d league wish list. There are not many d league players that play d with the intensity that he does.
NumberTwoPencil @ 12/28/2016 4:14 PM
Curry in Dallas has not become quite the player I thought he might, however, he's been a very solid pick up for Dallas. He's been playing maybe 25 minutes a night, averaging maybe 10pts, 4assts, with surprisingly solid defense. Dallas is still losing, Curry's not a solid starter but he is a solid bench guy. I'm pretty sure his contract was two years under $3 million and he's easily earned what? double that compared to his peers. Not sure he would have played much here but he was a good deal for Dallas.

I heard that T.Allen (Memphis) is available and he's a top defender at the guard position in the league and has some offense.

Every review I see says Curry has been a good NBA defender. He's also up there steals per minute top 20 NBA. He gives a more consistent game then B Jennings

If he a plus defender I'm interested.

How about Oquinn for Seth Curry

Commit to playing KP Noah and Willy at the 5

We have enough 4's--we need another guard who can shoot pass and play D very badly. I think Knicks made mistake not going after Seth Curry--hes better than Jennings.
