Knicks · Noah VS O'Quinn/Hernangomez (page 1)

I would rather do without Noah and his $17 million 22 MPG. I'd rather just have O'Quinn/Hernangomez playing CENTER... is it just me? Can we get anything for Noah?
franco12 @ 12/31/2016 8:44 AM
I was not a fan of the move.He should probably be moved to the bench.
blkexec @ 12/31/2016 1:19 PM
But that cap space and min per game could be used on a more impactful player.
reub @ 12/31/2016 4:28 PM
O'Quinn has good trade value right now and we have 4 fives without him, including KP. I'd look to move him for a wing.
EnySpree @ 12/31/2016 5:59 PM
We can't trade O'Quinn. He's fitting with what we are trying to do. He's still young. He could help bridge the gap past Melo and into the full blown KP era.

I think Lance needs to go. Wish we could amnesty Noah but they didn't put one in the new cba. We might be stuck with him unless Orlando wants him. They seem to want more defense and are benching quality players to make that point. Noah and Lance for all the players they don't want

Noah and Lance for Vucevic and Jeff Green???

There's a reason why Jeff has been moved so many times. The only upgrade he gives over Lance is offense and he hasn't been much better this year.

Role players need roles. Green can look like a star one day and a bum the next. Playing the Knicks style might be right up his alley.... if not he's expiring. If he dies nothing, that's just about the same thing Lance is giving us.

Vucevic is a stud on offense. Defensively he's vulnerable to movement but so is Noah.

I think Noah and Lance are what Orlando want. Leadership and defense. The Knicks have enough leadership. We need more veteran guys that can put the ball in the basket.

Kristaps, Melo, Vucevic, Rose and Lee now become unguardable because you can't double off Vucevic. Green brings a big that can actually score and had done it consistently in his career. He can disappear if he wants here because we have guys that can step in like Kuz.

I would do this deal in a heartbeat. Actually January 15th when Lance contact becomes tradable

Vucevic would be an obvious upgrade offensively, but I don't think Orlando is dumb enough to move him for Noah. We have KOQ and Billy, who have proven they can provide us offense from the 5. Is our scoring from the 5 really the issue? And is a space clogging monster like Vucevic really what we need? Plus it puts us back even more defensively, which is our real problem. Green for Lance is wash, though I like Lance better at this point. He's younger and seems to fit his role better. If we traded Lance, we'd just spend another off-season trying to find someone to fill that role. I'm not a huge fan of Lance, but he is one of our nicer contracts.
I think we need more veteran guys who can get stops and an occasional bucket.
