Knicks · I usually don't talk about the coach (page 1)

But he stinks
crzymdups @ 1/11/2017 9:38 PM
People made fun of me for saying Fisher was fired too early. I think Fisher would be a better coach for this roster.

Fisher was 20-20 with Jose Calderon and Langston Galloway at PG. And frickin' Arron Afflalo!

Hornacek is 17-22 with Rose and Jennings and Courtney Lee.

better than rambis

Yes, he's way better than Rambis.

I like Hornacek ok. I think Fisher was better at defense and in half court games.

But I really do think the Garden /Phil /Mills have sold him out. They just basically told the team the stars don't have to respect the coach by brushing away the DRose situation. They also put Rambis in charge of defense six games into the season - making that info public undercuts Hornacek's authority with the team, too.

LOL because thats hard, I cant watch this crap anymore they are a disgrace. The only franchise worse than the Knicks is the Browns

stopstandthere @ 1/11/2017 9:47 PM
So we are even worse than last year?

Only if you go by wins and losses.

It's not the coach.... this is all on the players

It's a combination of Jeff not doing what he believes in but doing what Phil believes in and the players not doing the right things or giving the needed effort every minute of every game.

Don't you think management has sold the coach out re: the players? Rose just walked out on the team. They send a charter plane to get him back and start him the next game. Hornacek has no authority here. Melo and Rose are running the team.

No one's on the same page, and the rotations are very inconsistent.

This. I just posted in the other thread that I don't think Jeff has autonomy. I also don't think the players relate well to Rambis.

So what you're really saying is that Jeff's job title should read "Proxy Head Coach?"

nyk4ever @ 1/11/2017 10:17 PM
yeah it's all on the coach when you have 2 complete ballstoppers in the starting lineup? in a time when the whole entire league has the ball zipping on around on offense, the knicks are the only team that the ball completely comes to a stop when rose or melo touch it. it's very painful to watch and no hornacek doesn't have authority to do anything different.

It's really looking like that. Jeff isn't running any of his stuff. The style is NOTHING like his aggressive and purposeful offense. Guys need to go look at Jeff's Offense Videos to see what I'm talking about.

Did anybody notice Melo wasn't happy after the last time out. I'm assuming it was a reaction to whatever play Hornacek called?

He probably wanted it to be a ISO Melo play

I agree

Melo should wave that no trade clause if this is the effort and attitude he is going to bring. Otherwise he is just holding the team hostage.
