If the guys can get healthy and regroup, I can see the knicks going 7-3 or 6-4 over the next 10.
It's not alot to ask, considering a month ago going 7-3 with these games wouldn't be so far fetched.
On the flipside, we can lose all 10 with the quickness.
8-5 absolute best case scenario over the next 13
Most likely 5-8
This is a turning point, if we win 7 games we are back on playoff spots if we win 5 or less, good bye playoffs
which 10 games are you looking at - & by favorable, do you mean towards helping our draft status?
Boston
Washington
Phoenix
Indiana
Dallas
Charlotte
Atlanta
Washington
Brooklyn
Cleveland
Only the Nets, Dallas and Phoenix have worse records than us and a worse point differential.
We're away with Dallas. That is maybe 3 wins if we play to form, maybe 2.
You guys don't learn. This team is rotten beyond a lineup change by Hornaceck. We still have to play Rose and Melo heavy minutes. We still have a group of veteran whiners that won't stick to whatever gameplan they are given.
This team would have to grow up a lot to have a 7-3 or 6-4 stretch again. Don't see that happening.
Embrace the draft.
they should do well but we know they'll go 3-7 or 2-8
IMO it all depends on what we get from KP. When he's healthy and playing well it makes a big difference. He's had poor health during this losing stretch. So if KP can get healthy I think this team can win quite a few games going forward.
If this team finishes January and hasn't completely murdered their playoff chances - which to me is be no more than 7 games under .500
February is nice to us. Long breaks. Good for the vets. Schedule in Feb. We have 10 games spread over a month. We can realistically win 6 of them and may be fresg and able to take 7. That puts us maybe 2 or 3 games under .500 heading into March, April, the last 6 weeks of the season. The way the team is playing no way we should even talk about this, but just saying the schedule in February is very spread out and decent enough for us to make a run back up. If we rest KP well, and develop some chemistry with him as the 5 and Melo at the 4, I wouldn't be shocked to see us 2 or 3 games under .500 and in striking distance at the end of Feb.
Also in April, 5 of the last 6 games are at home. If there's late season surge and playoffs on the line, 5-1 would be possible there.
As I said, playoffs for the talent level of this team especially if KP comes back healthy is not out of the question. It's the chaos chemistry that's the problem. Too much whining by the vets and not enough dedication to winning and playing hard.
