KNICKSBIGCATS @ 1/31/2017 8:42 PM
BOS- vucevic
NYK- green, rivers, rozier
LAC- melo
ORL- Crawford, zeller, 2018 BOS 1st or 2019 MEM/LAC 1st

http://www.espn.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=hymm3sq

knicks get an expiring in green and two young players and Orlando actually gets a little better.

Knixkik @ 1/31/2017 8:47 PM
Knicks would have to get a pick but that's the right idea. Green gives a short term replacement for melo and rivers is a long term piece.

You are underestimating Rozier. With all the backcourt depth that the Celts have, he can't get burn.
The Knicks get a long term future backcourt. They can't possibly expect a better return than this for melo.

KNICKSBIGCATS @ 1/31/2017 8:58 PM
This is the trade that you need to get done, Phil Jackson.

I haven't watched rozier much. What makes him good? Seems like an undersized SG that can't shoot.

Phil loses his job if he comes back with that trade..... Yuck

Rozier is a PG who was drafted in 2015 out of Louisville with the 16th pick in RD 1.
And, the kid is actually a good shooter.

I think that's a solid trade. I'd like to get a pick or two out of it somehow... but it works.

Green only makes $1.4M, so his inclusion is negligible. I like Dozier, but a Rose/Rivers backcourt would be more of eyesore defensively than we have now. I'd rather have Smart.

His shooting numbers are horrible. And espn scouting report is he's not a pure PG. He seems like a defender and nothing else.

VCoug @ 1/31/2017 10:21 PM
Why would we include Boston and Orlando? Just so we don't take on 1 year of Jamal Crawford? This summer's cap number isn't going to matter for us; if sacrificing some cap space nets us a future 1st from LAC we should do it.

Rozier was shooting lights out early on in the season and he can't get burn because of the slew of players in front of him. He's only 22.....

Knicks what do you think of Malik Monk? While he's kind of slight and only 6-3 he might have the best combination of athletic ability and body control with the high level scoring ability beyond pick 1. Is he potentially something in between a Russell Westbrook and Curry? Many good G in the draft but we need a triple to home run this year

Agree about trading Carmelo. He's a great player but it's a toxic- like situation

TheGame @ 2/1/2017 4:23 AM
Decent trade, except Vucevic is not the rebounder or defender that Boston needs. Plus, Orlando is looking to trade Ibaka because they are not sure if he will resign. Thus, I doubt they are going to trade Vucevic unless they get an assurance from Ibaka that he is going to resign, which I doubt they would get.
dwiley20 @ 2/1/2017 6:32 AM
if we not getting a pick then its a fail!! Horrible trade
Gudris @ 2/1/2017 6:41 AM
Stop posting these trade posts, nobody wants Melo, his style of play is only good for bench, but he is way too expensive for a bench player, there will be no trades with Melo 100%

What about Otto Porter Jr to replace Melo

Melo would be really going "back home"....(Baltimore)!
Not sure how you do salary.

NYKBocker @ 2/1/2017 10:57 AM
Any trade including Melo would need to have a 1st rounder coming back to us.

I would totally take Otto Porter; he's 23, has improved every year he's in the league, and is playing at or near an allstar level this season. But if I'm Washington there's no way I'm giving him up.
