Knicks get Reggie Jackson
Detroit gets Rubio
Minnesota gets Rose

Rose is an expiring. Minnesota wants to get free of Rubio contact so Dunn can play.

Detroit wants a pass first guard.

Knicks need some juju

You know I rather keep Rose than get Reggie Jackson. Reggie is not a passing PG and on top of it he is a putrid shooter.
TLover @ 1/31/2017 9:44 PM
Would rather have Rubio, our current point guards are similar to Jackson.

I agree. I'd do that in a second for Rubio.

That's funny because it also describes Rose.

That's my point.

dude is shooting close to 38% from three on nearly 4 shots. He is having a down year but overall he is a decent guard on a pretty good contract. He is also a capable defender. This would be the best time to get a player like Jackson and then watch he go back to his normal play.

I'd make this trade in a heartbeat and then then sign Milos Teaodisc in the off season

smackeddog @ 2/1/2017 12:58 AM
The pistons collapsed when reggie came back and there is a lot of resentment on that team regarding him hogging the ball. No thanks!

Last year they exploded when they got him for the full year.(exploded maybe too much) There does seem to be continuing issues about his attitude but I always take talent. The PG pool is so shallow that you have to try to pick up talent whenever you can. He is better than this version of Rose and better than Holiday. Sometimes you gamble on the Teagues, Holidays, Jacksons, and etc in hopes they become a Kyle Lowry or George Hill(this year). If they don't at least you have a serviceable player on a manageable contract.
TheGame @ 2/1/2017 4:37 AM
We would be better off letting Rose walk. Reggie is not that good and Rubio cannot shoot. I would rather try to work a trade to move up in the draft and get one of the PG prospects coming out this year.

How would you do that? Who are we trading that will help us move up to the top 3 picks to get one of those stud point guards? I would love to hear that

Just shows you that guys just type just to type....

He's getting 17/5 in 29 minutes a game. Shooting 43% fg and yes 38% from 3.... putrid shooter? Alternative facts. Sounds like Rose? More alternative facts.

Collapsed from what?

I thought I was gonna get roasted for getting the Knicks the best player in the trade. I thought I would get "why would Detroit do that?"....

Thing is Reggie is a very good player. He had a great floater and he can get to the rim and shoot the 3 very well. He's a better passer than Rose as well. He doesn't turn the ball over much either.

The Knicks would have to seriously tank right now in order to get in the top 3 picks. We've been losing alot but we'd need a miracle to get that high.

Nobody wants to play for the Knicks. We're not signing Jrue Holiday. We're just not. Who else is out there?

Van Gundy isn't making this trade anyway, but if he did the Knicks would be lucky
