See early, see grant..plus he made it perfectly clear a while ago
so you can predict Phil's draft philosophy by the Early and Grant picks? And ignore KP... right...

Those are international players with several years of experience playing professional since they teens.
He knows he has a difficult system that requires a high IQ, and 1 and 2 yr AAU players is not his style

Briggs I don't follow college hoops. Who in the draft is the defense first, distributing point guard. I've heard Ball is a distributor and big but don't know about D. Is there a Billups- or Payton- type in the draft?
Every mock i've seen has all the top PG's going in the top 7 or even earlier so if we want one of these top PG's we're either gonna need to find a way to trade up or hope we get real lucky in the ping pong ball drawing.

I would love that. I don't think we will be bad enough for Monk, but he would be a great fit. I think we get Fox or Ntilikina, or if we miss out on an elite PG, Miles Bridges has a ton of upside at SF with his athleticism, shooting, finishing, and passing.
It's too bad OG Anunoby (SF Indiana) got hurt cause he would of been a good pick for us.

Yeah he was a great option. Sort of that Crowder-type 3 and D guy who will be a good NBA player for a long-time. We really can't afford to take him in the lottery anymore, but if we were to ever get an extra 1st round pick, he would have to be in consideration still.

KP was 19? The best players are the young guys---it doesnt take a rocket scientist--there are game changing players in this draft--if I were Phil I dump carmelo--right now all I want is a reasonable pick and his cap space and try to lose the last 29 games--we need to suck down the stretch conserve kp.
You can't dump a NTC contract dude, especially a star player going into his last leg.. Melo is not as stupid as phil. Obviously melo was smarter than Phil at the negotiations table

Yeah he's gonna be the guy that drops to the late 1st round and San Antonio will get him.
