Can they afford him though?

As far as resigning? That doesn't matter if a team is trying to steal a hired gun for a playoff run

As in match a dollar-for-dollar amount in a trade. It's difficult to find $20 million of contracts that don't disrupt your rotation, while simultaneously generating value for your trade partner. That's why guys like Amar'e Stoudemire, Deron Williams and Joe Johnson have been bought out prematurely despite still having game left to benefit a contender.

I definitely wouldn't trade him. Like was said earlier we have Melo and Rose who don't fit within the team concept and who we could get first rounders for. That's who we need to trade.

The question is not whether Jennings sets up his teammates. The questio is whether what he brings is replaceable or not. I think we've been so starved for decent PG play as Knick fans that we've forgotten what good PG play looks like....and how readily available it is in the league. The Pelicans just signed Tim Frazier to a $2.1 million this offseason and I think he is comparable to Jennings. The Mavericks just picked up Yogi Farrell off the scrap-pile and he is now having a quasi-Linsanity like tour for them at the moment. I do like Jennings....but I don't think it'd be impossible to replace him on a cap friendly contract. The time to trade him is now, when teams are desperste for that slight edge heading into the playoffs.

I don't like the idea of leaving KP with no PG for the rest of the year. Once Melo and Rose have gone, the focus will be on getting him back on track- he'll need a PG, otherwise he's going to struggle.

Seems odd to trade the players that are actually trying and not the guys that really need to go.

I'm down for trading for picks but dealing KOQ for a second makes no sense to me. He is a good, young player on a good contract

KOQ is a keeper. Blocks shots, his range on the jumper has gotten better, great passer and an excellent backup on a very friendly contract. Could easily be a late bloomer and become a higher end rotation guy. Zero reason to move him.

You move Rose and Melo. Those are the ball stoppers and guys that arent playing any defense. Jennings hasnt been great but he's been good, and he gets guys involved and gets them easy shots. That is a huge importance with a young roster.

I like KOQ but when i guy gets a chance to start and comes in with absolutely no effort what so ever when your team needs you most it really makes me question if i want a guy like that on a team that is about to go through a rebuild which i hope we are. He was very bad last night especially his effort.

...or learn the importance of developing a go-to-move, while allowing us to try our hand at finding a PG in the D-League.

why trade jennings? He is one of the few actually working hard. He is a good backup. He makes $5M this year and is not signed past this year.

What is the point? Trade Rose, he makes for picks. Trade Melo for cap space. Trade lAnce and Noah if you can. Everyone else can stay.
