The Oakley incident will be way more damaging than Phil's comments- shows that's how dolan and the knicks treat their hardest workering players. Disgusting

Basically you have two that have been outcasted. Spree and Oak.
How is that an indictment of how they treat their hardest guys? They crossed lines.
How many businesses embrace and honor those that are openly critical in a hostile manner? Spree came to NY after he choked his coach, he was not exactly a boy scout here, and he ended on a sour note with an idiotic statement with Minny!

Oak seems to be very public about things that are Oak and he likes to be in the limelight. I like the guy, the entrepreneur oak, the loyal Clevelander, the loyal son to his mother, the tough Knick, the empathetic friend...Then there is the Oak who likes public feuds that seem to also sabotage his businesses. He has been rejected by knicks because he crossed lines. Lets be real, Oak landed Oak in jail, not Dolan.

what suppose to happen, Let Oak stand in front of Dolan and let him physically intimidate because they don't get along in font of 20,000 people? Oak was asked to leave, and he didn't. He has been banned by the team. Its their right to do so. Oak wanted the confrontation. He made the knicks look bad. So basically it was about Oak, not his love for the team. Oak has been humiliated by the franchise for his comments and method. Remember, knicks like any other franchise love to parade feel good stories. Knicks have supported the rebellious John Starks, they made amends with larry johnson. Other than hiring Patrick, they are good with him. Patrick burned some bridges too, but they made amends.

Last nite Oak's message might have been valid, but he was wrong in his delivery.

According to Oak's version of things, he never said anything to Dolan..Security came over and asked him what he was doing there...Oak said he responded by saying he bought his ticket then he(Oak)escalated by asking why are you staring at me and stood up...I don't know. Oak being a few rows from Dolan is intimidating..I don't know if you can just toss a guy for being there...

Oak was seated behind dolan. Oak lost knicks when he publicly told Lebron to not sign in NY. Why? Oak also got into it with security after game 7 in Oakland. Oak has been banned from MSG, thus he was trespassing. Yes, Arena's can do this.

Oak hasn't been banned..There are interviews and various photos of Oak at the Garden...Knicks PR also said Oak came to the game and behaved inappropriately..They never said anything about him being banned...

SAS said Chris Paul wanted to come to NY until Phil arrived...

Can't forget him not even giving Aldridge a shot because he wanted him to play center, or trading for crowder.

The negatives clealy out weighing the positives.

Dolan and Phil have just turned off Free Agents from the Garden for years.

Honestly, Dolan may have been more effective in getting Melo out of town than anything Phil did. Chris Paul and Wade and Bron - all Melo's banana boat boys - are publicly condemning the Knicks right now.

I was just reading that, and FYI, DOLAN Loves Melo..

Remember when LeBron left the cavs and the owner did that letter laying into him? Did it stop LeBron returning a few seasons later? Players have short memories

A ridiculous letter in green comic sans font is much different than the visual of a legendary former player being tackled to the ground by security and led from the arena in handcuffs. Don't kid yourself. This will haunt the team for years.

This stuff with the Knicks is cumulative. It's not a one time thing. Marbury, Curry, Steve Francis, Camby, Spree, Chauncey Billups, Jalen Rose, Melo, Oakley... the history of doing their players wrong is cumulative and well-known around the league.

Also, Lebron is a force unto himself. There's not another player in the league who could just go to a random team and make them an instant championship contender. There really just isn't. Lebron could go back because he's bigger than the Cavs.

Everyone has short memories. And winning cures all. When the offseason comes, a lot of people will already have forgotten. And sometime, when the Knicks get it together, at least temporarily, and look like they are a pretty good team in the future, the rest will forget. Winning solves everything.

What exactly is Phil doing to Melo? This whole thing is corny as fuck.... win some games bitch! If they were winning you wouldn't be so oppressed by Phil's single tweet.... gthoh
