Knicks · Dolan with cowardly, pathetic treatment of Oakley at the Knicks game. This is why we're cursed. (page 2)

That was awful.

He was banned previously? correct?
Its a private enterprise.
Hey, Im not arguing that Dolan is getting it right. Im no fan of his. What the Phuch you think "Nalod" means? its "Dolan" backwards! Cuz, he gets it wrong.

Don't matter what you think of the man, you can't go to a private place you been told you can't be at , and yell at the owner. If you told to stop, not an unreadable request, you don't then start a beef with security.

Yes, he got out of line with security. He should've listened to them and definitely not started slapping at their faces or whatever it was he did.

Other than that it makes me sick that Dolan owns the team.

Comedy night at the Garden.
NYKBocker @ 2/8/2017 11:02 PM
Nalod...I know you are right.....but...it just doesn't seem right.

Oakley is a good guy but he crossed the line.
crzymdups @ 2/8/2017 11:10 PM
Why was he barred from entering the Garden in the first place? They charged him with criminal trespassing.
nyknickzingis @ 2/8/2017 11:50 PM
Even Phil got his ass off the seat, stood and looked ashamed.
That's how bad it was.
Oakley didn't deserve that.

But do we know all the specs? I am not sure you all want to paint Oakley as a victim. Great player for the Knicks, but he could be an asshole trouble maker as well.

TLover @ 2/9/2017 12:04 AM
I was at the game, was so fukc'n pissed they messed with my man Oak!
Oak don't like to be touched and he clearly was by the douche bag security guys.

Oakley was all heart & soul, always left it all on the court. That what this Knicks team needs!
And a new owner would obviously help.

Isola got some quotes from Oakley. He says he didn't say anything and Dolan sent security over to escort him out and that's when he started yelling at Dolan. Who knows. Whatever the case, another embarrassing incident in Dolan's sad reign of the Knicks.

Dolan is an arse. He owns the building, he owns the knicks. Its his house. His rules.
You either play nice, or play outside. Nobody is telling Oak to not speak his mind.
Knicks are not public domain. MSG is not a public building.

sorry to say .. u becoming irritable .. u can talk trash at a game .. Dolan's a B

February 8th is a particularly cursed day in the Phil Jackson era

February 8, 2017 – Charles Oakley incident
February 8, 2016 – Knicks fire Derek Fisher, name Kurt Rambis interim coach
February 8, 2015 – Reports emerge that James Dolan wrote a letter to a fan saying "start rooting for the Nets because the Knicks dont want you."

Kemet @ 2/9/2017 2:03 AM
Real bright Dolan .. Fans and Players consider Oakley a Knick-Legend ..
Tonight treatment to Oakley may affect trades to NY before the deadline .. plus may effect the count on Knicks draft workouts in June ...Dolan like putting icing on the cake .. were gonna get a 1-10 draft pick in June .. Bad when the top 20 draft picks may wish the Knicks dont select them ..
Well .. back to protesting Dolan selling the Knicks/Rangers/MSG

So true !!!

Knicks fans should start some LOUD "CHARLES OAKLEY" chants at the Garden next game.

oak put himself in the position.
Oak was a paid employee of the knicks. He played here, was loved, played hard, then got traded.
He crossed a line. Many players can be critical. Oak might have told the truth, but he crossed a line.

He crossed a line tonight?

Why hasn't he been invited to any of the Knicks 70th anniversary events? Or any Knicks night ever that honors their great players?

Dolan created this situation by being a miserable sack of sh!t

I agree w Nalod. What were they supposed to do, let oak just tee off

Having said that they have not treated him well and seemed hyper sensitive to his criticism

Chandler @ 2/9/2017 2:50 AM
Our team could use some oak competitiveness or spree. These were not nice people but played the full 48

Oakley claimed he was not saying anything until security came over and asked him to leave. Video interview here -
