Knicks would have to get Pekovic back. Insurance is paying his contract and he might be a retirement scenario next year. Being that we might get something extra back
I am not holding my breath, but I would be estatic if we sent Melo to CLE for Love, sent Love to a third team to get some draft picks and young players to the Knicks. If we also sent Rose to 'Sota and got Rubio, it would make for the best trade deadline in the history of this franchise. This team needs to move forward.

I thought the Wolves were under the cap so the salaries wouldn't have to match- I'm sure I tried the espn trade Checker a while ago and Rubio for rose worked, straight up with no filler

That would be my ideal, I'm trying to not get my hopes up because probably we'll just end up trading jennings for a second rounder

Cuz that's all he is worth!
STOP TAUNTING ME! LOL. I want something like this to happen but we've been tricked and gotten our hopes up before
And remember if we end up trading melo to the clips, for rivers, then Rubio makes no sense

That's the fly in the ointment for the Knicks. Knicks would prefer to have the biggest domino fall (Melo trade) before deciding on the others.
How about Rose for holiday or tyreke evans? I think we could get one of them but we'd have to take back Asik... I posted that before in another thread, but can't remember where

Yep, it will be such an anti-climax if (or when!) at the deadline we've moved Melo for Rivers and Crawford and trash (No Redick to move for picks), traded jennings for a second rounder or two and bought out Rose- Phil would get killed for that.
The dream is Melo to Cavs, Love to Suns (give up on Boston, most GMs say he is a nightmare to trade with because he doesn't want to part with anything), high 2017 to us. Then Rose for Rubio. That would put us on a strong course for the rebuild.
It's going to be a long week...
Trade hype is usually much higher than reality.
Fans get all pissed off after nothing happens.
Maybe the best thing we do is nothing and let chemistry happen?
That first period against Thunder was a thing of beauty. Its possible.

we should all be thinking this thought, hoping that it produces some good karma
Extra credit for moving Noah and/or somehow getting a tenacious defender who can guard 3/4

Yeah, I get excited about it every year, and always end up disappointed. When was the last time we made a big and good trade at the deadline? I liked the Prigs for second rounders move, but it was a small one.
