Most of the board want melo traded (not out of hate, just because it's time), I'm not sure why you think everybody doesn't?

Good Post. It has nothing to do with hate. In fact many want him to have a chance at a title
I want Melo traded for picks and young talent. Also I want Cleveland's winning to stop.
I'd rather keep melo unless we get good value. Otherwise a good new role for him next year is still a good option

That's not an option. He has to go so the team can turn the corner and define the next franchise player/players; he is actually a detriment to their growth.
thank you...Amare was great until Melo got here, Linsanity was great. Jr n Shump was great role players that every winning team name. Now i here the Fans want Noah n Rose Gone..SMH i don't get it

Did Melo ruin Amare's back? His knees? Didn't the doctors in Phoenix say that he would not be able to play for the length of the contract Amare wanted and got from the Knicks?
He doesn't utilize his teammates to their optimum on offense,
He doesn't have an impact on defense.
He's a ball dominant scorer.
And the league has won with them, but they have been far far more dominant and better than Melo,
You won't ever win anything with Melo as your main player.
Phil is smart enough to see this. That's why he put him on the block. However Melo's trade value is so crap, teams won't even give up theie 3rd best player for him. No Love. No Blake or DeAndre. That should tell you all you need to know about Melo's value in the league.
Great individual scorer. That's where it starts and ends. If you appreciate 1 on 1 moves, and losing, you'll love Melo. If you appreciate teamwork and winning, you'll see Melo has to go.

yes... giving him a new role and him accepting a new role are two different things. The latter isnt happening and to think it is is utter folly

The Knicks have tried to get Melo to change his game and are basically exhausted from asking him to change. Now the inevitable breaking point is here. How is he even going to change his role at this point. Another futile attempt to get him to buy in.

His usage rate actually went up this season
Not by much
But shocking still
You add Rose, KP is better this year as a scorer and BJ is added ... Noah is a great passer yet Melo plays the EXACT same game. This is on Melo as well. Yes his team mates deserve blame but so does Melo.

I went to Fox and it didn't match what you said. That was why I asked for a link.

Usage is slightly less but in general he is same player... how anyone can expect otherwise?
Usage% 2pt%# 3pt%# eFG% OReb% DReb% Ast% Stl% Blk%
2015-16 New York Knicks SF 29.7 46.0 33.8 47.4 4.0 18.3 15.5 1.1 0.8
2014-15 New York Knicks SF 32.2 47.1 34.0 48.2 5.2 15.0 11.8 1.3 0.7
NBA.com shows 29.7 usage rate for this season
Last season it shows 29.5
http://stats.nba.com/player/#!/2546/advanced/?Season=2015-16&SeasonType=Regular%20Season
Compare 2016-17 and 2015-16
This year is slightly higher
When it should in theory be 10 percent lower at the very least IMO
They added two point guards in Rose and Jennings
Then factor despite the high usage rate the assists are down for Melo
All numbers point to a player who is a very good scorer and nothing else

He was talking about this year with Rose/Jennings. You are right about the same player though. The difference is one tenth. On nba.com he is plus 1/10 on Fox he is minus 1/10. I don't know why there is a difference or who is more accurate as a site but I wouldn't bring it up as a fault of Melo's. Both teams suck and have one guy that get buckets.
