What will be the kicks to watch the team finish the season?
The Knicks will be unwatchable. They are a team that's underachieving. There's nothing else to see. I'll be checking the draft sites for our projected pick and praying the ping pong balls are forever in our favor
Just watching KP and Willy. Hopefully willy continues to develop and KP regains his confidence and gets his juice back. Get those guys rolling into the offseason on a positive note and hope for losses and the right player drafted with our pick.

This...
However it looks like moving Melo and Rose is the only chance of MSG to keep the money coming...
Talk about paradox..
Watching Kuz, plumlee, KP and Willy develop, following the tank sweepstakes - it's actually fun looking at the players in the draft, and tracking your lottery placing- losses become wins and wins become losses.
The problem is some teams are going to start tanking and our schedule gets somewhat easier. I am worried we might move up in the standings and get stuck with like a 13-15 pick in the draft, when we really need to trying to move down to the 6-7 pick.
We need need to move Rose and Jennings for picks. Bringing back Rubio might actually hurt us because he can play.
i hope we get into playoffs, it will be better for young players development than tanking and hoping for lucky picks
There's no way we can pull off playoffs.
To do that we need to win like 17 of the remaining 27 games.
Come on, not happening.

Be honest - KP is likely 3 years away from being able to sustain a whole season, and max performance. And we don't have enough talent to compete, even when KP et al are developed. And who exactly are keepers long term? KP & Willy? 2 Friggin players?
We need a top five talent this draft, and then we'll need another top level player next year and the year after. Then, there is a potential foundation.
You can't build a team out of thin air.

We have a system that provides countless mid range and long range shots, his biggest weakness by far. how exactly does this benefits us, will be right back wishing for a pg who can breakdown the defense..

4 more yrs of losing, and you think KP is hanging around on a team, that would (by then) have 4 trips to the playoffs in 20 years...lol
that would also mean phil guided the knicks to zero playoff appearances in his 5 yr tenure.

KP is not 3 yrs away. He would already be an All Star if he had a PG to help make things easier for him rather than freeze him out or give him the ball in less than ideal spots. KP is obviously in need of more development and physical maturity but if he had a guy like CP3 helping him KP would be putting up big numbers EASY.
The overall roster needs higher level talent to be sure and hopefully Phil can add some talent and more picks. I think there could be a decent base of talent going into next season.

Because (a) he plays defense and (b) he is a much better passer than Rose. So yeah, I think he could improve team's performance.

I'm not saying KP isn't going to be a great player - but he's a kid. And he is young. Let him mature - and that is going to take another 2-3 years.
I mean, 82 games is a long, hard season. He's not strong enough, and that shouldn't be sacrilege to point out.

Yea, he should want to stay - we can pay him the most money, and we're building something great with him.
And yes, I don't have a problem with zero playoff appearances from Phil if he has started to erase the prior 15 years of futility.
I mean, all the bad years of zero draft picks, foolish trades, fa signings- that doesn't go away overnight. This isn't xbox where you can do a hard reset.
We've sucked for a long time. I don't think Phil helped things with the Noah/Lee signing and the Rose trade. They were gambles that for a while looked like they would pay off.
I love all his other young players - KP, Willy, Kuz, Baker- gamers all that play a nice brand of basketball.
Couple tweaks, a top five pick, and in 2-3 years, I bet we can be an exciting team that can legit make noise in the play offs.
But we're several players away.

at least you arent making stuff up... just casting doom and gloom. Knicks are in zero chance of losing KP. Zero. He wil resign here. Its done. Its after that you may have to worry. Come back to me in 6 years or so.
