It sounds like most Knicks fans are absolutely against adding R.Jackson and when i first heard he could be part of a 3 way deal to come to the Knicks i was against it as well. For me it was mostly because of his character issues i've heard about him more than his play cause his play and numbers he puts up are just fine for me and i've actually come around on him some and not sure he wouldn't be a good addition for us.
So any of you that has really given this some thought and read up on him and are not just saying hell no just to say it, what do you really think about him and do you think he could be a good addition for us? Here's an article with some good points for and against Jackson. I think the pros end up over taking the cons for me.

I already know and expect certain people on here to not give the correct amount of thought and reading up him to give a real answer with real reasons so have at it.

Well thanks for confirming my thoughts cause you were clearly one of the people i didn't expect much from so carry on...lol
Lowe or Windhorst was saying that SVG loves Jackson but says publicly at shoot around daily that the team was winning until Reggie came back. He says it everyday. Also, didnt the Pistons have a team meeting to go at Reggie? I just worry about locking into a problem for 3 yrs? instead of just letting Rose expire.
I am totally against Reggie Jackson and I wanted him out of college. If SVG wants him moved says a lot. Winning without him even says more because he is the PG. Rose has a lot more value than people think. He fits systems that are made for him like T-Wolves with Tibs. We have to get a pick out any trade for Rose.
Can't post the article but here is the link about the players only meeting. Drummond, 'the ball was moving so freely with Ish'

Getting Reggie would be getting the PG version of Melo.

No Melo because Reggie is a ball stopper according to his Detroit teammates, he tends to hold the ball and demand the ball.

Except Melo's teammates like him. Reggie appears to be a problem on and off the court. He also handles the ball and initiates the offense.

Nah I don't find that accurate. Rose is the PG version of Melo.
I'm getting angry. It's like the Knicks are a winning team. We ate losing right now with Rose here and there have been plenty of incidents to pin on Rose to make him a cancer. Yet we're going to talk badly about Reggie Jackson? Based on what? One comment by SVG? Van Gundy had no filter. He says alot of things.
I tell you one thing. Nobody has posted any video supporting this cancer and malicious person.
If anything the dude is great in the pick and roll... he can actually hit the 3 consistently. He's been in the playoffs and has played with superstars. Bye
Volume scorer. Shoots about as bad as the worst team in the league. Character issues too. Can't give him $17 mil a season.

I wish it was one comment by SVG because then it would be a no brainer. By the time he forced his way out of OKC he was hated. His team held a players only meeting because of him. There is a lot of history of not getting along with teammates and coaches. Maybe this move gets something to click and he changes but his issues have followed him.
Well i appreciate everyone being honest about how they feel about Reggie and seems like pretty much everyone is a big NO on bringing him to the Knicks. Some of you seem to think he's basically another R.Rondo which i don't quite see him as that bad of a guy but he clearly has some Rondo in him. I'd rather have Reggie over Rose if i had that choice to make but not sure who i'd want more out of Rubio and Reggie. Reggie has a better all around game but Rubio gets along with his teammates and coaches and passes the ball and plays better defense than Reggie.

In what sense? Reggie puts up more points but Rubio is better than him at everything else.

Reggie obviously shoots much better than Rubio but he also plays defense and gets plenty off assists which means if we're talking all around game....Reggie is better.
I liked Reggie a lot last year and when he was in OKC. I was psyched when I first heard he was coming to the Knicks in the Shump/JR trade. But I don't feel like I've seen him play this year enough to know if the complaints about his game are legit.

From what I remember, okc had Reggie Jackson buried behind westbrook and only played him when westbrook was hurt. When he did play Reggie was a beast. Then when westbrook cane back they buried him back on the bench. I term you what.... I would be pissed too.
As far as DETROIT? They are looking to get rid of Drummond as well. In my opinion, the wings in Detroit want the ball. Reggie is justified getting his 15-17 points per. It's not like he's shooting 38% fun the field like Rubio.
It's about fit in this league and point guards change address just as much if not more than coaches. If Reggie Jackson came here is think he would find his home. Guys here keep saying we need a pick abs roll pg and a pg that can hit the three? Well Reggie Jackson is very good at what he does. We're not going to get Jrue Holiday and frankly Reggie is better
When Russell went down, Reggie played very well for OKC.
Scott Brooks approached him and was very complimentary about his play and told him he did a great job filling in for Russ. Reggie responded by saying he was still going to be the starter when Westbrook was back. Brooks, tried to explain that it's Russell Westbrook and Reggie didn't get it. Made a huge deal out of the whole thing. Writing messages on his game day shoes and became a huge disruption. Which led to him being traded to the Pistons.
By all inside accounts he is a tremendous pain in the ass and locker room divider.
Someone to stay away from at all costs.

Reggie has a better career WS/48. Jackson is down in rebounding and points at the rim and I think the knee injury is bothering him. The question is was last season a fluke or will he recover from his knee issues and go back to being the player he was a season ago. When you bring up knee issues that is a real concern and needs to be seriously examined. I would be more comfortable with Jackson if his salary was locked in at $15m instead of increasing every year.
If Reggie Jackson doesn't go back to last year version you basically get a better version of Jennings/Rose wrapped in one PG. You get the usg of Rose with the Ast% of Jennings.
