I think you you mean when he gets his confidence up, I agree. I just doubt he'll be a knick for more than a couple yrs unless were winning. thats the only time plyers stick

Willy ain't leavin KP!!! Come on man.

loosing does not bring stability and you know it.

Didn't say anything about that. Just think you have to be realistic about Willy wanting to leave his best friend as we rebuild.

The facts of the matter are that these guys are (1) in a different league than we are right now and (2) in spite of NY's effort and "runs," Cleveland has pretty much been toying with us since the middle of the second quarter.

Knicks did fight for a good portion of the game. Put another loss in the TANK BANK!

Man if we loose by 15 plus why not start baker what do we really have to loose
yellowboy90 @ 2/23/2017 11:27 PM
1st and 3rd qtrs look great. Lee tried to carry the team while Melo looked like he couldn't jump over a nickel and Rose looked awful.

yea... Melo cried about the direction of the franchise. Than shot 9-25 and played his usual defense. Keep it up Melo... that is exactly the direction we need!

I'm kind of in this camp. Losing is tricky business. If you accept it too much, it becomes acceptable -- as one can see in so many franchises. But there is a way to lose in which the team at least knows it's building something and better days are ahead

Watching underperforming, overpaid stars sulk or play inconsistent minutes is poison. We have to cut that crap out

Can't we just have one game thread for the rest of the season, stickied with a final score of "Other Team: 120-ish, Knicks 105-ish", with stickied comments about how we played no defense?

Lol..becomes acceptable..the Knicks have been awful for 17 years. This is the norm.

Agreed

But to put another way, winning is difficult business even for storied franchises. Celts and Lakers have been dominant in NBA but each have had long down periods even though institutionally they seem to know how to win. Same to with Yankees in baseball

It might be total BS, but I think one of Phil's bigger goals was to get back to institutionalizing winning. Pat-the-rat, when he was here, was all about the larger institution. He realized team needs the best strength and nutrition coaches, game day practices at the garden to get used to court and rims, etc.

it's difficult business
