Even of we fall in the draft this year and pick a lower pick we still could draft a great player. Maybe even better than the ones lower. Who knows maybe Frank is the best pg in the draft. The draft is a crap shoot to a certain degree. Luckily we have a great scout in Clarence Gaines.

I agree. All this over reacting any time we get a win is just ridiculous. We're gonna draft where we draft and in such a strong draft i don't think there's all this need to actually watch the Knicks rooting for them to lose. Of course it would be awesome to be able to get a L.Ball, J.Jackson or D.Smith or any of these kids that are projected to be top 5 picks but even if we end up at 10 or 12 we're still gonna have multiple players to choose from that are projected to be starting NBA players. It might not be a PG but if we end up with a M.Bridges or a J.Issac or whoever they like at that pick then just hope they take the right guy at that pick and hope to get a PG with one of our 2nd rounders or use them to get back in the 1st round to get a PG. Out of the lets say top 8 players drafted it wouldn't be crazy at all if half of them turn out to be average players in the NBA.

What's frustrating is that this team is SOOOOO CLOSE to the premium spots in the draft. 2 or 3 losses make a huge difference and there's literally no point to watching Melo hit game winning shots at this point. I'm fully on the Side of wanting more losses because this team has to bring in a legit talent this summer and hopefully make great use of the two 2nd rd picks as well.

Unfortunately or fortunately (depending on which side you are on) we the fans are not in control of tanking vs not to tank. Thats for those small martet teams that don't sell out and are run by up to date managers who do not have the payroll as Dolan, so they have to be creative. We don't have that luxury. We have sell out home games. Nobody is coming to the garden to watch Baker and Billy. Dolan and management have always struggled with this balance of tanking, without degrading the products value....which is why they continue to sell out tickets.

If this was a video game, yes......sit everybody on the bench and play the westchester knicks. But this is part of the reason why the knicks have always been a average to below average team since the 90s. What Dolan should do is stop overpaying people like Phil, and cut these ticket prices in half, while the team tanks for a high pick.

Except if we'd drafted at 10 in the KP draft we wouldn't have landed him. What is so hard to understand about this concept: the higher your pick the higher the chance you have of landing game changing talent because YOU HAVE MORE HIGLY REGARDED PLAYERS AVAILABLE TO CHOOSE FROM.

With Dolan if he doesn't hire a name for GM/president, then he'll hire a friend. Those are the only options we have in store- a name or a friend, and I suspect after Phil he'll decide enough of the names and will fall back to a friend, so either IT, Allan Houston or Mills. What he has against talent and expertise and the best qualified candidate getting the job I have no idea, its absolutely idiotic. But then I suppose he owes his postion to nepotism so no wonder he thinks so highly of it.

Yeah I'm not holding my breath for Dolan to cut prices. LOL. Still my point isn't that the players and coach should be trying to Tank. I just know how PIVOTAL this draft is for building a new core for this team. The long term goal has to be who will run with KP and Willy going forward.

Drafting another STUD will achieve all of Dolan has for the franchise and the fans will LOVE it if we could draft a young stud PG, SG or SF this summer. Phil IMO is a good man to have in charge of the process going forward. Along with his scouts they have a big opportunity to change the direction of this franchise. I'm pulling for them to have more success in the coming draft and UDFA's.

As much as im happy with KP we missed out on Towns(the only guy i would take before KP) because we won 2 meaningless games at the end. This year our record wont be as bad so we literally might be out of the top 10. Im not holding my breath to get in the top 5 but i would be thrilled to drop in the top 10

I read somewhere that Dolan likes Masai. It might have been a poster speculating but that would be a huge get for the Knicks if there is anything to that.
