edit: actually, I would argue that they have played this way much of the season. They have about 15 hard fought, painful close losses. This figures to be another one.
They've had stretches where they played like this.
I think part of their inconsistency has been KP not contributing - he is a big part of this team doing well.

Yeah, definitely. He was playing like a true all-star in November, but seemed to tweak something in December - I remember him landing awkward during one of the Minnesota games against Towns. He seemed off from that point, with the occasional good game. Hopefully he's fully healthy again. Though I really think we ought to tank the last 19 games.

Yep, the kind of losses I like. plus the movie I went to see, Logan, was very good too
Another good hard fought loss. Keep tanking alive. This team is close. Once KP adds another ten pounds, billy develops his midrange jumper and gets stronger, and we add a stud in the draft, this team should be solid.

for the first time in years im excited for the future. Especially when some big contracts come off the books we can start adding talent around our homegrown core
They should have rest/benched Melo like this the whole season if he was going to pick up his defensive intensity like he did in the second half. The guy was actually picking up guys at half court and had some nice rotations on the help side.
The problem with this team is it has zero consistency from player to player. The only consistent thing is the losing.
