We might have a chance at Ball or Fultz. If not then Frank will be fine. Our future is bright!

Sprinkle in an 0-4 west coast swing and we just might be flirting with a top 5 pick soon.
We should really try to get to 5th. We are currently at the 6th spot and only 0.5 games behind NOP and Sacramento
If we stay the at the end we would pick either 1,2 or 3 OR 6,7,8 or 9 we would not have a any shot at 4 and 5
But if we crack bottom 5, then we have a shot at picks 1-5.
The meat of the draft is at the top 7, I don't want to miss out on the 4th and 5th spots.
EDIT: If we finish 5th from the bottom we would pick 1-3 OR 5-8 we would still miss on the 4th pick.
i am looking at the sched... we could win only 1 more game...the last one against 76ers and lose that one too if we make sure Melo rests but Rose doesnt
Magic, Pelicans, Kings and even Sixers are all within range. Pelicans and Kings can overtake us if we win, we can overtake Sixers or Magic if they lose. This is going to be close, we really need to lose to the Sixers, I also thought we had a game against the Magic as well but I see that's not the case. 0-4 on this road trip is really important. They should have left KP home to heal his foot.

http://www.tankathon.com/pick_oddsThe mock draft has us picking Monk at 7th.
Briggy should be having a wet dream.
I SIM'd the lottery 3 times and got the top pick on the third try. So there's a tiny chance! Really, our position matters somewhat less than our luck factor with ping pong balls. It's random, so we're potentially screwed or potentially set depending on...luck.
Of course it takes luck, but it doesnt hurt to increase the odds. We can't control the pingpong balls, but we can make sure we finished 5th from the bottom and at least try to catch up with the sixers.
Word, I'm ALL IN for tanking. Just giving some perspective to the "pain" of winning a few games. If I were Horny, I'd plant Melo's ass on the bench. Same for KP. I'd call inappropriate time outs, make idiotic substitution patterns. Be abusive to the refs continually in order to foster as many bad calls as possible.
I am only HALF kidding.
Comment of the year nominee? Lol
Philly beat Dallas by 40!
New Orleans beat Houston by 16! (No Cousins, naturally)
Phoenix plays Orlando later tonight. So we'll get at least three good tank wins tonight.
Lol, I'm in a bar watching march madness with my friends and I keep refreshing the Suns/Magic score on my phone. Magic out to a 22-14 lead!

I was so into the NCAA that didn't even check scores. But that Philly score is whack!!
NOP beating Houston is double whack!
If the magic beat the suns tgis will be really good day for us!

It's actually kind of fun Lottery watching.

Making the best of a bad situation lol. I've found myself scouring draft boards and speculating who we should draft depending on what pick. It's pretty silly I know. I finally just have to shut it down and stay off my phone.

Hey it's not silly. It's reality. I'm watching NCAA games to see not only the top Draft Prospects but other gems that might be out there. We need everything!
Nail biter tank game in Phoenix! 60-58 at the half! Elfrid Payton is actually playing really well right now.
Phoenix/Orlando going down to the wire. 1pt game with 6min to go.
Magic by 9 with two minutes to go! Knicks could pick up a game on the Sixers and Magic tonight and they play each other on Monday! Sixers also play Boston without Isaiah Thomas Sunday.

Orlando wins! They have 25 wins now. They play Philly (also 25 wins) on Monday and then two games against Brooklyn in April. Philly also has two games left against Brooklyn. May the tank be with us.

Magic win, Sixers win, pelicans win- very very good day for us! I think we have a better chance of catching the Sixers as they also have a game vs us which we can try to lose, so root for the Sixers to win the Magic vs Sixers game
Rooting for the tank is way more exciting than rooting for the 8th seed. i'm not kidding either.
Orlando has the tiebreaker against us so it's really unlikely they pass us.
If Philly beats us the last game of the season and we have the same record and we split the season series 2-2, then what is the next tiebreaker?
I'm worried about Charlotte. they have the tiebreaker over us and might only win 2 more games the rest of the season at most.

I believe the next tiebreaker is conference record.
But I actually think in the lottery, there aren't tiebreakers like there are for the playoffs. We'd just get the same number of Ping pong balls - like if we were both tied at sixth, we'd split the ping pong balls between the sixth and seventh slot equally. If there's an unequal number of ping pong balls, I think they flip a coin.
Its actually kinda fun to work out the various possibilities. 4th pr 5th worst record is not impossible. But the sixers will need to win a few.

I'm pretty sure any tie breakers are just settled with a coin toss in the draft lottery, so if we finished with the same record as magic, they just flip a coin- nothing to do with conference record etc.
Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, anyone.
For now lets keep playing Melo and Rose and tracking up the losses. We can worry about tiebreakers when wet get there. Watching march madness always gives me hope. There are lots of good players, we need to get ourselves a mid first round pick, someway somehow.
