I'm already counting the Sixers game as a win
. Just gotta hope these other teams help us out with a win.
We're going to look back on Thursday morning and realize that Carmelo's game-winning shot against the 76ers back on February 25th was probably the difference between the #5 spot and the #8 spot.
We need to find a way to lose to Raptors and then officially call the league and forfeit the Sixer game. Only upside there would be if Sixers have a 2 win lead on us they may play for a win because no negative consequences for them.
We can lose to the Sixers if we go the extra yard. Miss foul shots. Bitch and moan to the refs and pick up technicals. Delay of game penalties and defensive 3 second calls can put us over the top.

Whoever won the season series is above the other in the standings?!?!?
Nope, unfortunately it's just settled with a coin toss, which is why tying with those other teams is so dangerous
OK thanks!
That settles it... we would be screwed... the bball gods hate us!
The coin toss is used only if needed. If three teams are tied they first add up the number of ping pong balls for each of those positions. If that number is divisible by 3 (number of tied teams) then each team gets that many balls. Ony if the number isn't divisible by 3 then the order is decided by coin toss the winners get extra balls - Remainder of (x+y+z)/3 in this case.

This shit is getting complicated!

They're even with the magic I think, so they have an inventive to lose

Sorry, but I didn't come up worth this shit. The NBA did. The lottery rules are pretty ugly.
1 game left and we control our own destiny for the #6 spot. Knicks will get anywhere between the #4 and #8 spot in the lottery. We need the Wolves and Kings to win one more game. If the 76ers and/or Magic win before Wednesday then things can get interesting in that regard, too.

TWolves play the Lakers tonight. Here's hoping.
It'd be hilarious if the Sixers and Magic played the last game of the season against each other. They'd be like bouncing the ball off each other's faces and throwing it out of bounds, trying not to win. I worry the Knicks will beat the Sixers in the last game. But we'll see.

i can guarantee we will beat the Sixers. If they had to they would literally play 5 guys the whole game

Knicks likely end up 31-51 after beating the Sixers.
The Kings and TWolves are both 31-48. One more win from either team puts them at 32 wins.
If the TWolves beat the Lakers tonight that would keep them from being able to tie with us. We need the Kings to win the PHX game on Tuesday.
Knicks aren't getting any help. They've gotta lose the last game to lock up that 6 spot.
The Basketball Gods are toying with us. Russell's game winner for the Lakers over the Wolves rolled around the rim, bounced up off it, then went in.

Lakers fans must be cursing him right now. Ack! That was the last winnable game for the Twolves- looks like we'll finish the season tied with them. Now just need to see if the Kings can win vs the Suns, though thats no guarantee as the Suns seem to be winning lately too.
Horrible day for the tank. Both Kings and Twolves lose. And the Suns and Lakers are trying to get out of the two spot? No love for Ball huh?
Orlando losing by THIRTY points to Miami tonight.
Now THAT's how you tank.
