His numbers are on the upswing again -
18ppg 9rebs 2assists 2blks in March
For comparison he was at 13.ppg and 4.3rebs for the month of January and 15ppg 7rpg in Feb.
Last two games he has 11blks and 8 assists
He looks to be healthy since his injury for the first time and making some uber athletic plays again.
The only caveat is that the defense he plays looks terrible next to Willy. The only KP lineup that has looked good was Lance/Melo/KP to me.
Shot selection and his shooting percentages have still left a lot to be desired, but his passing being improved can help that eventually.
Here's hoping for a strong, healthy finish to the season for KP...
I think his injuries slowed him down. Achilees are no joke. I still think with a better point guard he will take a huge step as a bigtimeplayer in this league. It doesn't have to be a star point guard just someone who can facilitate and is a good passer
Completely agree looks much better on D at 5 with Thomas out there than as a 4 with Willy.
The difference in the Triangle has been KP is getting the ball more as well. Especially in the post even though that's the weakest part of his game.
I hope he works really hard on his post game in the summer. Even Lin got away with switches on him. He has to get comfortable with playing on smaller guys pushing him off his spots.
.429 FG%. But the rest of his game is better this month.

His only weakness shooting wise is his 3-10 area game. IE when he posts up or has a close shot over a smaller defender. He usually misses many looks from 3-10 feet because he plays pretty weak in the post. He has to develop this part of his game and be more aggressive. He shies away from contact and fades too much. Draw the contact, take the shot. If you get blocked, so be it. Don't fade when you have such good positioning.
He'll learn if he focuses on it, and I hope he works with Dirk over this in the summer. I also hope we keep running the Triangle or an offense that encourages some post ups. I'm not a fan of posting up all the time, but from time to time when you have a mismatch like KP usually has, you must take advantage of it.
He's shooting a poor 32.1 percent on those shots from 3-10 feet on the season. If he can even get that up to 40% from that area, I believe he'll go from a 18 point a night scorer to 23 a night pretty quick.
He's playing better. Not sure why so many were concerned with his play despite clearly not 100%. Take out January and he's had an incredible 2nd season. He had a lot to improve on, but I don't think there is any question he will keep getting better.

Some posters reactions to him in January really annoyed me- he was coming back from an injury and also got sick, but as usual people decided to turn on him rather than support him and show a bit of understanding and patience.

.358 on long range 2s according to basketball reference. I wouldn't say he's actually good from anywhere except right under the basket and 3 point shots, but that's the case for most players.
In that respect Rubio would of been great for KP, Rubios lack of outside shot is poison however

Actually his 3pt shooting has been off for a while. He rushes shots, takes them too deep.
.333% in March. He started the year looking great @ .400% - part of the reason we probably looked better out of the gate.
And .373% ain't exactly great.
are you kidding me...that vine is Epic...potentialllllllll!
KP now the 12th player in league history to record 100 3s made and 100 blocks in a single season.
Bonn1997 wrote:.429 FG%. But the rest of his game is better this month.
Honest question - do you think his fg% is tied to using the Triangle more? Like the spaces on the floor he's shooting from? It seems to put him in a better position to be a playmaker, but he seems to also be taking more contested shots. That could just be because he's shooting more again and more of a focal point though. His first month of the season was definitely better from an efficiency stand point though.

Who does that? Many with bravado like to send it into the stands and preen, wag the finger, and dance.
The unicorn keeps the ball in play. That play and the way he retained the ball was unfreakingbelievable.......
Phuck the negative Jax shyt and Melodrama or Rose sulking awol shyt. The purity of that play is what excites me.
Phuck the Hate Phil agenda stuf and how Sean Marks is a genius and Phil is a dumb ass.........
I'll watch that play a few more times and smile.

Depending on his 3 point shots and blocks, he may become the first ever to average 2 blocks and 2 three pointers made a game in a season. That's ridiculous if you think about it. Only 21.

The guys shooting had been falling long before the more triangle movement
