Gives the team 3 good to very good three point shooters.
Get a drive and dish PG who knows how to connect on passes and find the open man.
Get a SF who knows how to defend, bring energy, athleticism, crashes the glass, cuts off the ball etc.
This team has some good pieces to work with. I really want to see this team free of Melo and Rose.
Rose can not drive and find the open man or connect well on passes. He's a good driver but that's all.
Melo's a great scorer in isolation, but that's about it.
We need teamwork and I think with a drive and dish PG as well as a SF that can bring athleticism, defense, energy, this team will be much more enjoyable to watch and competitive next season.
Who is the best drive and dish PG after Ball/Fultz?
What about SF, any off the charts athletes at SF, in this draft?
Also about KP/Lance/Lee, they are good double threats. They fake the 3, and drive. Then stop and pull up or make a play at the basket. That's smart basketball not just being predictable 3 point shooters. I really think these 3 have some chemistry and winning talent/skills to offer. Play KP at 5, Lance as a stretch 4 and Lee is a solid defensive 2. We need that PG badly, one who actually finds the open man on dribble penetration and we need that uber athletic 3.
This team has some winning pieces in play. The fact that we could right away spread the floor like that with KP at 5, Lance at 4, Lee at 2, trust me would be hard for many teams to defend if we had a really good drive and dish PG.
If we get that PG that can connect on passes, this team will transform FAST.
Jees Lee and Thomas are mediocre players-- nothing more

Unlike Stuckey & Crabbe? (who you insisted we sign), but I suppose at least they're better than Nate Wolters

Lee and Thomas are low usage players who do well at catch and shooting 3 pointers. They play better than mediocre defense. What you think we'll be able to have stars next yaer starting?
And what did putting 3 stars like Melo, Rose and KP do? Zilch.
A good team has role players starting who can defend and then go on offense and knock down outside shots.
If there's one lesson this team should learn from this season is to never think individual star talent is enough. I think Lance Thomas and Courtney Lee are very good role players for the modern NBA. If they were on teams like Houston, Cleveland, San Antonio, they would get big minutes because of their ability to defend and shoot the outside shot.
