Knicks · Time to see what young guys can do.. plus PJ coaching?? (page 1)

We've come to the point of the season where it's useless to have Melo & Rose playing. We know what they can do and there's a good chance they're not part of the future of this team.

Start Randle or Baker, and start either Thomas or Kuz for Melo.

Enough with trying to sell tickets (I've already fully paid for mine)

Also on a side note:

Know PJ is getting up there in age & has dealt with health issues but maybe it's not so far fetched
he would coach team in the last 2 years of his contract.
He's no longer together with Jeanie Buss, he's been coaching players on the side, and might want to go on the road one last time.

I really doubt he'd coach again.
Most of the hype around him "Meddling" is media driven. Go back to early Jeff stuff last summer and it was expected he'd be involved.
I think some agenda guys take jeff's annoyance as being with phil, but my take is he is annoyed with being hounded by subject. The season has slipped and Jeff is obviously not happy with alot of things, let alone the job he is doing. Im not into the blame game as there is enough to go around for everyone.

Nalod thought going into the season they'd do more triangle early, and it would be rough but play thru it and if successful surge at the last 3rd of the season. This is not a phil jax coached team.
Maybe they either need to commit to it 100% or ditch it. Problem I see is PHil, is trying to both succeed now with a roster that has Rose and Melo, and still build for the future.
With Melo and now rose, this seems harder to do every passing year.

Are we closer to clarity than not? I wish I knew. Did Rose say he wanted to be here and then go back on his word given its contract year? This is a guy that has obvious talent but is all about his pendiung free agency for some time now.

Phil with NEVER coach again. Dude can barely move. He's just not able to deal with the rigors of the NBA sideline and practices anymore. It's too much.

As for Phil's building of the team I think we all can see what the deal is by now. The Melo Era is OVER. Dude just doesn't make sense for this team anymore. We have a lot of younger players and EVEN MORE are coming this summer. The roster needs to be rebuilt with youth. Phil knows he's tried the Vet around Melo route and it hasn't worked.

Now Phil can build the team without the consideration for Melo. That is when Melo waives his NTC this summer. I fully expect that Melo will finally give in and look for a trade. Once he does then the Knicks will be free to go in a new direction. If Melo stays he's only going to be in the way and start getting booed cuz everyone will see that he's the stumbling block to a new team.

Why? We need to lose and build via the draft for a couple of years, why would we need Phil coaching to do that?
