Knicks · wait a min, so phil disagreed with rosen, (page 1)

Why was this swept under the rug

“In the meeting, Jackson told Anthony he did not subscribe to the criticisms in the article and the story did not speak for him, sources said.”

http://www.cbssports.com/nba/news/phil-j...

Then Rosen states phil had no say in the article. Yet there some strange belief that melo will waive his NTC this off season, which I seriously doubt it.

How about the criticisms in this article by Ding in Bleacher???

crzymdups @ 3/13/2017 7:50 PM
Pffffffffft. This is a tried and true Phil media tactic. He leaks a story to the press about MJ, Kobe, Shaq, etc and then tells the player he has no idea where it came from. Come on, are you really buying this? Because I have a great opportunity on a bridge property in Brooklyn.

I don't understand, you think his out is "almost"?..Bringing attention to the article and citing a "possible" similar example is the crime..

And it doesn't matter if Rosen was quoting Phil..Rosen almost exclusively interviews and writes Phil's articles for him when he communicates with the fansbase...Rosen would have to run that by Phil before printing it..Or his meal ticket would be a jeapody..

So phil is willing to risk his good integrity by lying to your best player. What your saying isn't far fetch, but I believe phil.

One of the main reason he chase Melo all over the country to resign him was because he clearly stated that the system needed a bonafide scorer for when the offense stalls. I think the possible trade talk came from trying to please Melo, considering the direction of the team, his age, and not wanting him to deal with the losing. As long as melo wants to be here, phil doesn't have a choice and i think he wants him here.

knicks1248 @ 3/13/2017 9:31 PM
Rosen critic of melo is shared by half the knick fans in the world, some like him, some don't. If Berman or Isola wrote that article, it would get the same traction..

The local media has been supporting melo through it all, It's rosen and the other LAKER(a phil guy) beat writer that has the most to say. So while the local media is starting to come down on phil, Rosen seems to be the only media guy that blames the players. All of Phils moves were great, it's the players that didn't live up to it, and made phil look bad.

Ding and Rosen are Phil guys. Ding's article, comparing Melo and LBJ in 2017 was not even topical and there was no reason to a guy LA based to write it.

He supports the negative drama against Melo in the press but wants to say he isn't a part of it..

I took the time to read some of the non-Knick stuff Rosen put out to see where he was coming from..These guys are lost(Rosen, Phil. etc.) They are of an era gone by...They can't relate to today's players and they don't want to...I think they resent some of them to be honest..Just my opinion but I think the whole "brand thing" and the like, that today's player worry about has riled up the older basketball generation...Riley, Phil, etc hates it...So they try to diss players(lack of a better term or maybe not treat them properly) who they feel are caught up in the commercial aspect of the business..I think today's executive have to be able to see beyond that and do what's best for the team..These old dudes just need to move on and let younger more willing executives handle the operation..This game isn't about the Phils and Rileys of the world anymore, it's about the players and their global reach...But the money is good tho...Phil isn't leaving 24 mil on the table...He doesn't have to talk to the press, he has 11 rings..

All the Phil supporters have gone on a vision quest, practicing his vaunted "puff puff pass" △ philosophies, hoping to achieve greater unity. It's really beautiful.
