I honestly believe we need to trade CA at the very least and would even trade KP if a team full of draft picks like Boston Celtics have, thanks to the Nets
If we had to trade CA for a .25 Cents, it would be tough but it must be done, why not package him to Boston, while we also dont need to pick up any salaries in the process, if we do a trade with them on Draftday or sometime in the summer
I think Boston would be willing to overpay, while players such as Isiah Thomas, Avery Bradley, and even Jae Crowder will seek HUGE raises when available
This Summer they have Kelly Olynicks as a RFA
Along with solid younger players with value such as Jaylen Brown/Terry Rozier, Marcus Smart
Boston Draft picks owned
=============================
2017 first round draft pick from Brooklyn (swap, Boston outgoing)
Boston has the right to swap its 2017 1st round pick for Brooklyn's 2017 1st round pick; if Boston exercises this swap right, then Boston will convey its 2017 2nd round pick to Brooklyn protected for selections 31-45 (if this pick falls within its protected range and is therefore not conveyed, then Boston's obligation to Brooklyn will be extinguished) [Boston-Brooklyn, 7/12/2013]; this potential pick conveyance is the same as the one described in "2017 second round draft pick from Boston" on Brooklyn Incoming
2017 second round draft pick from Cleveland
Cleveland's 2017 2nd round pick to Boston [Boston-Cleveland, 9/25/2014]
2017 second round draft pick from L.A. Clippers
L.A. Clippers' 2017 2nd round pick to Boston [Boston-L.A. Clippers-Phoenix, 1/15/2015]
2017 second round draft pick from Minnesota
Minnesota's 2017 2nd round pick to Boston (via Phoenix) [Minnesota-New Orleans-Phoenix, 7/27/2012; Boston-Phoenix, 1/9/2015]
2018 first round draft pick from Brooklyn
Brooklyn's 2018 1st round pick to Boston [Boston-Brooklyn, 7/12/2013]
2019 first round draft pick from L.A. Clippers
If at least two years after the L.A. Clippers conveyed a 1st round pick to Toronto, then the L.A. Clippers will convey their 1st round pick to Boston (via Memphis) protected for selections 1-14 in 2019 and 1-14 in 2020; if the L.A. Clippers have not conveyed a 1st round pick to Boston by 2020, then the L.A. Clippers will instead convey their 2022 2nd round pick to Boston [L.A. Clippers-Memphis, 2/18/2016; Boston-Memphis, 6/23/2016]
2019 first round draft pick from Memphis
Memphis' 1st round pick to Boston protected for selections 1-8 in 2019 (conveyable if Memphis conveys a 1st round pick to Portland in 2017) and 1-6 in 2020 (conveyable if Memphis has conveyed a 1st round pick to Portland by 2018) and unprotected in 2021 [Boston-Memphis-New Orleans, 1/12/2015]
2019 second round draft pick from Detroit
Detroit's 2019 2nd round pick to Boston (via Oklahoma City) [Detroit-Oklahoma City-Utah, 2/19/2015; Boston-Oklahoma City, 7/14/2015]
2020 second round draft pick from Miami
Miami's 2020 2nd round pick to Boston [Boston-Miami, 7/27/2015]
I would have no problem doing so
In order to become LEGIT CONTENDERS, you need MULTIPLE TOP TIER TALENTS, ALONG WITH DEPTH/ROLE PLAYERS, with a system and coaching that FITS to work together
If we had to trade CA for 50. Cents out of a dolla, we are still unlikely to be able to SIGN for TOP TIER TALENTS that can play both sides
At minimum,
We should probably trade CA to Cleveland for future 1st rounders and swaps/2nd rounders, as Lebron and CA can age together, while they could significantly decline together, possibly being our Boston/Nets that lead to KG/Pierce to Nets
although CA has a NTC, if we do trade KP and force his hand by going a rebuilding mode, he would likely accept such a trade
a trade to a team like Boston with CA, KP, with MANY DRAFT PICKS and FUTURE draft picks, without taking back salaries since they are under the cap is a scenario that should be explored
I am very surprised that they DID NOT use their draft picks with fill ins such as Amir Johnson/Jonas Jerebko, even Kelly Olynicks(RFA this summer) (ALL OF WHICH are free agents this summer, essentially expirings) and Tyler Zeller for upgrades with their multiple draft picks...
I think they made the correct move for NOT trading for Jimmy Butler if they had to give up Crowder and other talents
the type of talent I think we will need includes players such as to play with KP
Giannes *Greek Freak, maybe his youngest brother in a couple of years*
Anthony Davis
Towns
Unfortunately, most of such talents are unlikely to come here, so we are more likely needing to DRAFT such talents in our future drafts
I like KP, however, if we are unable to attract top tier talents with him *before he is eligible for a 5year 200m contract*
KP is currently a tweener, stuck between PF/C and he need to learn to play much better, maybe playing more like Dirk and a YOUNG KG....
Picking up HUGE bad shot selections as CA has influenced his development.....
Westbrook/Wall
Klay Thompson
Kawaii
Jimmy Butler
some lower tiers include
Jae Crowder/Aminu
As for players that I would not have problem keeping or eventually trading for maximum value, in the range of 2 2nd rounders, a late 1st rounder, and early 2nd round picks
However, I think they bring the right mentality and play the *RIGHT WAY* for the most part, but certainly could be moved at some point as well for assets...
Kyle O Quin *likely will opt out of his contract after next season, I would have no interest in resigning him to a huge contract either, so if we can get maximum value for him, DO IT*
Lance Thomas
Courtney Lee
we likely will trade Ndour/Plumlee maybe even Randle *not sure what his contract is but I know it is at least for 1 more season that would give us early bird rights at minimum
Most of these players will be used for salary purposes as their contracts are NOT guaranteed, so team can waive them or continue to develop them
I also would have no problem resigning Derrick Rose if we think we can eventually trade him for draft picks as well, though I would not sign him to a 5year max extension
I think he can eventually develop a 3pt shot and even to be a decent defender, but he is unlikely to be a GOOD playmaker for the team, he is a scoring guard

http://hoopshype.com/salaries/boston_cel...
in my ideal scenario a combination of talents that I think would work include something like
Giannes *playing POINT/FORWARD/CENTER*
KP
Anthony Davis
Would give us much LENGTH with talents that can create their own shots, create great % shots, along with provide GREAT 1v1 DEF and TEAM DEFENSE that can allow us to finish and cause TO's along with steals and blocks, along with GREAT REBOUNDING ABILITY and the ability to push the ball consistently
Those would be my TOP 3 talents to target with KP that I think would FIT, making each other better as well
Then finish up roster with HIGH IQ, 3 and D talents
Klay Thompson
Crowder/Aminu
Markieff Morris
Allen Crabbe/Seth Curry/ *BRIGGS SPEIALS* Will Barton
Maybe Drummond/Whiteside/ DeANdre Jordan/Towns
Jusuf Nurkic
Jovic *would have been great if we drafted him or Gobert *drafted after us a couple spots while we needed a Center for out future* in the Tim Hardaaway DRaft*
Jovic was drafted after CleAnthony Early...
Also Mason Plumlee was drafted right before Tim Hardaway and Giannes was drafted at about 14, while we probably could have used the assets we used to trade for AB and some other incentives to move up in the draft and DRAFT GIANNES who will be the BEST 2 way player when LBJ eventually declines, with Kawaii Leanard but Giannaes is a FREAK with his length/athleticism/veratility on both ends
We need an identity with a system/coach that will continue to develop talents which I think Terry Stotts has done a good job at
You need MULTIPLE top TIER TALENTS as LBJ knows himself to be contenders, as well as quality role players that can defend/hit 3 pointers to fill the roster
The reason why he went to Miami as well as leaving Miami to Cleveland after all the draft picks they acquired during that stretch....
