Knicks · Meet tonight's player who will outplay KP (page 1)

MaulingandAppalling @ 3/23/2017 12:27 PM
Tonight's player who nobody calls a future franchise player who will outplay KP is: 3rd-year Jusuf Nurkić. Who?

Potential excuses to use after KP gets dominated again:
1. Nurkic is a 3rd year player, KP is only 2nd year, so that's something.
2. Yes but it wasn't KP's fault because [blame other Knick player or players here].
3. Not fair to compare them because this is a back to back for KP and Nurkic hasn't played since 2 days ago.

Let's go Knicks!

such a douchey post. Here's a simple question. Which player would you rather have?
TPercy @ 3/23/2017 12:37 PM
Nice to see Knicks fans showing our players some love.

Ad hominem all you got? I know, the truth sucks.
dacash @ 3/23/2017 12:47 PM
lol so with steph curry first two years plus his ankle problems you would have traded him then watch him blossom into a mvp.
or chauncey billups went like 8 years before coming mr big shot(though he was traded round the league.
let him go thru his growing process pls.
the team is losing again and fans are pissed but geeez leave the kid alone.

Just ignore trolling knicks haters. Not the smartest bunch.

I have seen the light. We should trade him for a lotto pick. Then give him 2 years and if he isn't Jordan, Duncan, Magic or Bird. Trade him for a lotto pick.

I counted 5-6 buckets he got on KP. I don't even think it was up to half of his points so it was hardly a destruction, but obviously he struggled quite a bit, which is perfectly normal for a second year player going up against a ten year veteran who happens to be a top 5 power forward in this league.

I counted 4 buckets on KP...and thats me being generous. May I also remind you that nearly all of KP's points were scored on Rudy ....one of the best defensive centers in the NBA. If anything, KP destroyed Rudy.

Denver and Portland appears to have made a very nice mutually beneficial trade.

His post all star game totals are nice. Full season way below KP.

SInce all star, 14pts per game, 48% FG (does not attempt 3's, 10.1 rebounding 2.1 blks
KP, 17 43% 8.1 2.1

Both Denver and Portland vying for the 8th seed out west. Good for them. Great thread!!!

Wow, at 3:15 originally when watching the game I thought Gobert just got the rebound over KP like he was nothing. But watching the tape you see KP go to box out Diaw and Gobert just step in front of Rose who just stands there watching the ball in the air as the shot goes up. Doesn't even attempt to foul or strip the ball or put any effort in making it harder for Gobert to get the rebound. Left KP to box out Diaw and battle Gobert off the recovery and KP takes the blame for it. Same thing with Lee after the ball is shot.

Its funny how melo and rose can have solid games in a loss, and there's 20 hate threads, kp or willy have bad games in a loss and their praise as saviors.

The team as a whole has been constructed bad.and worse, they are being taught wrong, because they make the same mistakes over and over. That goes for the entire team

@newyorknewyork
Defensive rebounding is a big part of our poor defense. Nobody can be assed to box out.

Its not funny at all. You are just too dense to understand the context when discussion a 21 year old in his 2nd season vs. an NBA vet making $25mm a year who thinks he's still an MVP.
newyorknewyork @ 3/23/2017 1:46 PM

So lets discuss this. Shot goes up KP goes to box out Diaw. Has Diaw and Gobert to battle for the rebound while the ball bounces to Gobert side.

Rose was guarding Diaw due to a switch they shouldn't have made. Diaw backs him down and kicks out to Hayward for the open 3. Melo leaves the paint to contest the 3. Leaving Rose and KP to bang with Diaw and Gobert. KP boxes out Diaw and Rose is stuck watching. Lance looked completely lost. He is looking at Hill not aware of anything going on behind him rather then having his head on a swivel. He should have ran in to help put a body on Gobert over with Rose after the shot went up.

You lash out at anybody who says 1 negative thing about KP/willy like a spoil little jealous brat, or a bitter bitch..

You need to Relax and respect a persons opinion, and further more, stop blaming melo (like you did amare) for every a damn loss.. amare is gone, and we still suck and our defense is 10x worse.
