But how do you use him? Sixth man? Tough to see where he would fit. Its too bad because he has incredible natural talent.

The only way to use him is like Vinny Johnson. Have him come off the bench and only worry about scoring in bunches.

Probably true. How does a team get him to believe it?

There's the rub. I don't think he will ever believe it. Not with his MVP history.

Wade is an entirely different player. Wade was, in his prime, a wing who could defend the rim. That's insanely rare. He could have easily been a HOF cornerback or free safety if he wanted to go a different way. Wade had incredible length and wingspan and his athleticism and hops were off the charts. When he was committed and in good shape and hungry, he could lock down passing lanes on the wing at will.

But key to note that Wade's play has dropped off, he's too heavy and slow now, he refuses to play D, he didn't develop a 3 point shot, he constantly complains about calls he thinks he should get, he jumps into defenders hoping to get a foul called since he can't finish at the rim anymore and he demands the ball too much for a net negative player.

Wade is proof that players like him, and Rose, fall off a cliff quickly.

Rose is not the anomaly that Wade was before.

Net negative players put up empty stats. Sure, you score a ton, but you give up 30 every night on the other end and you stifle the little things needed to actually win.

Kevin Martin is/was a net negative player. Rose is just a "brand name" version of Martin, a guy who looks like he's producing, but if you look deep, is a sieve. He's giving up far more than he contributes.

Key to note - The Knicks should pursue guys who CREATE MORE ANSWERS THAN PROBLEMS. This is why Dolan and Jackson and Melo have hurt this team. They create more problems for the franchise than they provide options/solutions. If you want to change the "culture", you have to jettison people who drag you down. That's true in EVERYTHING, in sports and in life.

Rose COULD be a different player. He just doesn't care. He's shown, all year, he just doesn't care. Why would anyone here ring up a selfish nag who won't work, cook, clean, and is a horrible person who will grind you down into misery? Is that warm wet hole enough to deal with all of that?

Derrick Rose has reduced his actual value, through indifference and spite, to being just another warm wet hole. Let some other sucker try to turn that into a manic pixie goddess, for once, let the Knicks do the smart thing - Treat a whore like a whore.

D-Rose is best as a shooting guard ON ANOTHER TEAM. Knicks need to move on. The guy plays no defense and refuses to shoot threes, which hurts our spacing on offense. Let some other team overpay for him. We would be better off getting a guy like Teague or George, if we don't draft a PG.
