since random posts about trades abound.
how about carmelo and the number 6 pick for jimmy butler
let melo n wade be together so they can bring cp3 there too
no point guard but butler, kp6, billy, holiday, and ron are a nice young core.
then go after a point in free agency
or try and trade oquinn, lee, for second rounders to go with the other two for more serviceable talent
Why the number 6 pick going too? You can do this straight up or at worst a second rounder going to the Bulls.
i dont think jimmy and KP would have good chemistry

Same reason he had problems with Rose
Not a huge fan. He is not a number one option on a great team, and like Melo, doesn't really have the mental makeup to be a number 2 guy. Plus we need guys on the same timeline as Porzingis.

he is 26 or 27 and porzingus is like 22 not a world of difference plus how is he like melo he plays spirited defense at least 80% of the time and averages like 6 assists a game i think. he could be a great s/g next to kp6

Butler will be 28 when the next season starts, so it's a tough situation when he will be leaving his prime around the time that Porzingis is entering his prime. Butler and Melo are nothing alike as players. Their mentalities are similar where it is questionable if they will ever be able to share the spotlight with an up-and-coming star.

Agreed. You're not going to have a perfect situation where all key players are almost exactly the same age. I'm not saying it's a ridiculous concern but Butler is really good and I think the pros outweigh the cons in this kind of trade.
