My mock 1-7

#1: Boston is so fucking lucky. They could take Fultz or Josh Jackson...
#2: Phoenix... I could see them taking Ball to play with Booker. They probably will take Jackson.
#3: Lakers will take Ball... it was written. If something changes I think they take Fox
#4: Orlando should take Jonathan Isaac... They don't need to take Fox but they might. Tatum is a possibility
#5: Philly is taking Fox if he's there. Dennis Smith or Monk are the consolation
#6 or #7: based on my logic... Tatum, Isaac, Monk, Smith will all be available. I can't comment on Frank based on YouTube videos against questionable competition... it doesn't matter who the twolves take if they are ahead of us

I think it just comes down to workouts. They will have in Monk, Frank, Isaac, Smith, etc... they will work those guys out, some against each other, do their background checks and have a couple very good players to choose from. If they get lucky and move up to 1-3 then wow.

Boston is in a tough position. Do they go for pg and what about Isiah, Smart, and all the rest of their guards. Do they go classic SF after picking Jaylen. They most need defense in the front court

I think Phoenix goes back court; they just invested two high picks in front court last year. If there was a quality center they'd go that route. Would Willy and our pick get us a number 2 and would we want that?

Orlando should go back court. Seems they're heavily invested in Fournier and Gordon. Maybe they see Fournier as a 2? But I put them in the same boat as Phoenix

We should go wing. At SG, I like Lee but he's not who we need to start. We need someone who can shoot, defend and handle and distribute the ball (where C Lee simply doesn't exhibit; if he has these skill he doesn't use them).

SF should offer great options too

we cant even tank right...whats the point of winning a game against philly by 1 point...what are we trying to prove? UGH i hate all management and ownership on this effin team. including phil and hornacek and j-doll (thats how he behaves).

we could have solidified 6th pick now we are playing russian roulette with this ish...
last time we missed steph curry by 1 pick and picked jordan hill...is he even in the league right now?

knicks definitely find a way to screw themselves repeatedly and then we wonder why this franchise is not going anywhere.

with the 6th pick i pick dennis if he's available
with the 7th pick i pick dennis if he's available

if he isnt...i pay jrue what he wants and pick a SF to replace Melo.

I mean we were playing a bunch of undrafted guys (Holiday, Baker, Randle, Plumlee, Ndour) all the minutes yesterday. What else do you really want them to do??? Players do not tank! They don't miss shots and defensive assignments on purpose. If Hornacek was playing Melo in the 4th you would have a point. But what else can be done? Should he have only put 4 players on the court in the 4th quarter???

play melo 48 mins
that'll ensure bad shots and a loss

This type of thing is never done by the players on the court...Melo and Lee should not have played, and Willy should have played the first half, but not the second.

Philly sat Saric, and then kept McConnell out the end of the game (pretty sure on this... am I wrong?)

There was NO reason for Anthony to play.

whats your point...that we couldn't sit our net +/- players...
i'd have these 8 players all game.
chasson randle at starting PG
ron baker at starting SG
mindgauskas at starting SF
KOQ at starting PF
Plumlee at starting C

bench
lee, vujajic and hernangomez in spot mins.
play the starters 40 mins each. they'd have ensured game is out of reach in 3 quarters
they can rest after the game.

I am with Cartman on this. When you ate paying a guy 27MM to be one of the worst net +/- players in the league the least you can do is play him when you really need to lose. Just like players dont tank, losers dont win (at least on average)
crzymdups @ 4/13/2017 4:28 PM
Knicks beat the Sixers on last second shots TWICE in the Garden in the past six weeks.

If those last second shots had missed, the Knicks would be tied with Orlando for 4th at 29 wins and the Sixers would be 6th with 30 wins.

Really just not our season.

nixluva @ 4/13/2017 4:36 PM
With all the lost opportunities it still comes down to luck on Lottery day. Anything can happen and we just have to hope things work in our favor.

Knicks also lost, what, like 14 games in the last minutes?

Where would they be if they had won those?

We take them all together.

Now Silver and Stern, who I know is still lurking out there with his laced envelopes, get NY into the top 3!

#1 I see Celts taking Fultz...they need someone to take the burden off Thomas on offense. Can Fultz compete at SG in the NBA? Jackson's offensive efficiency is not set in stone...and the Celtics have a good D already.
Would they consider trading out of #1? Maybe with the Kings? Just speculating.

#2 Can definitely see them taking Ball. They have some young bigs who will benefit from an elite passer, and he will make Booker better, too. I don't follow the Suns...what kind of player is TJ Warren? He seems to have progressed over his 3 years and is only 21 23. Do you they trade Bledsoe...who has 2 more years on a reasonable contract? On the other hand, a Ball/Booker backcourt might have some significant defensive shortcomings.

#3 Who do the Lakers take if Ball is gone? Tatum...Isaacs? Does Walton want a sniper? Are they sold on Russell as a PG...or would they rather have a guy like Fox? What if Jackson is avaiable...not the sniper they might want, but can do a little of everything and is a willing defender. Can he be Walton's Draymond Green?

#4 Philly is at #4, by the way...courtesy of the Knicks' win. If they feel Simmons can be their point player, they will take Monk. Simmons needs the ball to be effective...and the same is true of Fox. Monk is the perfect non-point PG who prefers to play off the ball, and will not be overmatched in terms of size like he would be at SG.

#5 Orlando was shopping Payton at the trading deadline if I remember correctly. A PG or SF, I assume. Can seem them taking Isaac. Another team that might even look at a trade with the Kings.

#6 Hopefully the Knicks...but who the F knows. I'm still hoping for Fox, Ntilikina, or Isaac.

#6 Minnesota- Dunn had 16 assists yesterday...if they like him they aren't looking at any PGs. If they are satisfied with Lavine and Wiggins, they are set at the 2 & 3 for years. If they want a frontline player to pair with Towns, they might be yet another team that wants to look to the Kings for a trade, since the big out there seems to be a reach, unless they feel Markkanen is worthy of the #6 slot.
