very true - - u want to love him but sometimes he does stuff that kills it.....hes a cool guy off the court but on the court he hasnt done much to make teammates better not to improve his game that will result into wins

hahaa thanks man- i love the nickname Pavv-ideo....clever one
The biggest problem is that Melo should not be the best player on your team. At least not without a Good to Great PG who can control everything. Now it's just time for Melo to move on cuz he's not going to change. He tricked us for a while last year with a few months of really good passing. It looked like he had turned the corner and understood what he was being asked to do was the best thing for his career and the team. He basically threw that in the trash this year tho. TIME TO MOVE ON!
nixluva wrote:Yeah this was great. SAD! But great work. Melo came in with a lot of promise and he really has been a great scorer for this team. The last 3 years have been rough to say the least. I was very angry with Melo back in the MDA days cuz I could see he wasn't really buying in. After that he played great during the Woodson Era but as we know success was brief. The biggest problem is that Melo should not be the best player on your team. well said man....he is just tooo stubborn to change his game permanently as he always goes back to his old habits...to his credit he is a great passer but just doesnt do it enough...you cant blame all the players and coaches around him these past 4 years
If you see in the video he had the chance to win us at least 7-8 more games if he hadnt been ejected or missed gamewinners
Melo would be perfect as a 3rd option on a good team as he is a great spotup shooter
Best clutch scorer the franchise has ever seen. Actually one of the best statistically in league history. Playing with sheehit coaches and clearly documented sheehit players and two whole seasons with a too young, too weak, slightly fragile unicorn saviour who, incidentally, can't win more than one or two regular season games by himself. Interesting. A unicorn, who, by the way, hasn't managed to drag us into the playoffs.
But i'm sure we can just keep jerking off by replaying that one block and cuff at that Net's game.
9 wins. But you sure can't blame the players or coaches around him. Oh no way.

Melo was really good in clutch in his first 8-9 years but has gone down dramatically these past 4 years

Now is there any looking at this for you? Like maybe this player has declined, is no longer a good choice for player you run your offense through.. have you considered any of that? Or is this just Melo great, Phil bad, phuck you haters? Want to talk at all about Melo's play the last couple years? Or just focus on other factors aside from the most simple?
JROD... Go look at these and come back to me:

Two years in a row Melo's WORST shooting comes in 4th qtr. At what point do you say "ok... this just isnt the guy anymore."
Is there a point?

Yes. The point is your channeling of tkf has reached the "I'm not going to bother with reading comprehension anymore" stage...
Clutch Time: During the 4th quarter or overtime, with less than five minutes remaining, and neither team ahead by more than five points. Go look that up, okay?
No one I've ever met or heard about defines "clutch" as FG% in the 4th qtr.

2013-14 - #12 in the league
2014-15 - #34 in the league
2015-16 - #28 in the league
2016-17 - #22 in the league
Now, for the concept of "league history", I will let you fumble around google for awhile. You might start with "Remember on the UK when a certain someone was trying vehemently to tell everyone else that Melo couldn't carry PP's historical thong in the clutch..."
FISH... I realize the past few seasons have sucked. Melo is not 25 and dropping 30 at the shrug of his shoulders anymore. He's not even leading this douche-bag owned franchise in assists, or even rebounds, anymore. So no, I don't think the offense should run through Melo, which you may have noticed, I didn't say. What I did agree with was the concept that for the majority of his tenure here, Melo has played with comparative Sheehit. Purely a most simple factor and most easily verified.
Try and respond to my actual post, okay? I offer you the same consideration, especially since your posts in the past have been incredibly insightful and normally level-headed. Not too mention funny. So I won't mention it.
And for the record, I don't just yell about how "Phil bad". I was jerking off blue and orange harder than anyone at the start of this season. Am I a bit disappointed that the league coaching legend has to spend his time publicly blood farting on his best player? Yes. Doesn't seem very team-building friendly to me. And I really did think that 3 years into the Jackson Administration we'd be better off than this.
If the Zenius manages to talk Melo into being traded, so be it. Things are so contentious around here now, I don't know why he would stay here anyway. As I've stated several thousand times, I never followed Melo before he got here.

And as far as KP-hate, why not refute the two facts I offered about KP? All KP's supposed to be is the league phenom and latest 7'3" saviour of the world.
Gee, and Melo's only 6'8" and 32 years old...

between jerking each other off and pooping in oatmeal your post seems to indicate that Melo is clutch. Sure. He's been super clutch. One of the best in the league. I will happily concede that. How about Melo's #450whatever defensive ranking? How about the drastic drop in his FG% in the 4th qtr?
You should be disappointed in Phil. You should be more disappointed in Melo. We saw glimpses of what he could be and could. For whatever reason Melo wasnt interested in any of that this year. He backed up just how right he is with one of his worst seasons of his career. Not sure I really get all the love for a player who underperforms, does not give max effort and has no history of winning much.
So to recap... Melo doesnt defend. Melo has been a poor 4th qtr player, but if you need to hit a go ahead shot there are only 25 or 30 guys in the league who can do it better. Do I have that right?

hey you're right he did hit a couple of game winners this season but heres a stat for you then:
Carmelo Anthony is now shooting 5-of-32 in the last 10 seconds of games which the Knicks are losing by 3 or less, dating back to 2012–13....anyone who could have shot all those shots wouldve made at least 5 if not more...so thats nothing special. Anything above 10 makes out of those 32 attempts wouldve been considered clutch...
If you look at all his missed shots to win the game these past few years - you can see that he is either rushing the shot or just chucking it up unbalanced just to get it off.....and also he is so predictable as well where it makes the defenders job so much easier
KP hasnt done much yet even though hes considered our savior but its his potential that carries us....he is what the NBA has become nowadays and thats being able to do more than just scoring...KP is still not a great defender but can alter/block shots and will only get better...so hes not a star nor a bust yet
P.S. have a look at all my videos and im sure you'll find loads of pro-Melo footage in my mixes
