Best clutch scorer the franchise has ever seen. Actually one of the best statistically in league history. Playing with sheehit coaches and clearly documented sheehit players and two whole seasons with a too young, too weak, slightly fragile unicorn saviour who, incidentally, can't win more than one or two regular season games by himself. Interesting. A unicorn, who, by the way, hasn't managed to drag us into the playoffs.

But i'm sure we can just keep jerking off by replaying that one block and cuff at that Net's game.

9 wins. But you sure can't blame the players or coaches around him. Oh no way.

wow thats like the most KP-hate ive seen from anyone....KPs only 21 and right now Melos supposed to the main guy with the max deal

Melo was really good in clutch in his first 8-9 years but has gone down dramatically these past 4 years

Actually he's gone up a few steps the past two years, but hey...
http://www.nbaminer.com/clutch-time-stat...

Maybe you'd like to put together a few clips of Melo hitting some clutch shots for just this past season alone?

And as far as KP-hate, why not refute the two facts I offered about KP? All KP's supposed to be is the league phenom and latest 7'3" saviour of the world.
Gee, and Melo's only 6'8" and 32 years old...

hey you're right he did hit a couple of game winners this season but heres a stat for you then:
Carmelo Anthony is now shooting 5-of-32 in the last 10 seconds of games which the Knicks are losing by 3 or less, dating back to 2012–13....anyone who could have shot all those shots wouldve made at least 5 if not more...so thats nothing special. Anything above 10 makes out of those 32 attempts wouldve been considered clutch...

If you look at all his missed shots to win the game these past few years - you can see that he is either rushing the shot or just chucking it up unbalanced just to get it off.....and also he is so predictable as well where it makes the defenders job so much easier

KP hasnt done much yet even though hes considered our savior but its his potential that carries us....he is what the NBA has become nowadays and thats being able to do more than just scoring...KP is still not a great defender but can alter/block shots and will only get better...so hes not a star nor a bust yet

P.S. have a look at all my videos and im sure you'll find loads of pro-Melo footage in my mixes

"Anyone" could have made 5 more shots in those situations. Check.
Potential is carrying us... nowadays. Got it.

And don't get me wrong, I appreciate greatly having a defensive whizkid who blocks and alters shots a little bit like Russell did way back in the day. I supposed it's just an overreaction to all consensus Melo hate.

My stupid employer blocks all your videos, and I only post and waste time otherwise on the internet when I'm getting paid.

the bold seems like a typical reaction with the anti-Phil crowd. There is a critical directive to ensure nobody takes ANY blame away from Phil for the Knicks, so in doing that folks are labelled pure Melo haters. There are like 3 of those here... livinglegend, Meloshouldgo and maybe someone else. The rest just want to "move on" from Melo recognizing the days where he was a goo fit here have simply expired.

Melo hasnt done anything good enough or bad enough to inspire much of a reaction in me. It may seem that way but I dont really care. The 54 win season was great but its ancient history and a totally new regime.

you sound real bitter man, how long have you been a Knicks fan?

however you see Melo, the best way to win nowadays is to gradually rebuild through draft and under the radar signings and its not fair for Melo to stay for this. He should also realize it if hes really serious about winning

Warriors were really bad for almost 2 decades prior to becoming elite these past 3 years!!

I actually over-edited my previous post and left out the bolded part above. My apologies to all if it changes the gist of what I was actually trying to say. Or not. Or whatever.

Am I bitter? Sure. At the Knicks, No? At what appears to be a faction of fair weather, self-entitled, victim mentality GM wannabes who dub themselves and their own opinions as all that really matters year after year after year? Sure. When things are going good, 18-6 runs, 50 win seasons, big splash FA signings, things clicking at the early part of this season, just about everyone except the now repeatedly noted "infinitesimally tiny, overly vocal minority", are all firing on all cylinders, clean and positive.

Been a Knicks fan since the chip years... I've always hated the business side of this game... trading away Clyde, letting BK walk, trading Ewing for a bag of used condoms, trading Spree for KeithVanKneeSocks... maybe I'm just basically too naive for the role of 21st century fanboy, but I actually enjoy when I have someone other than the likes of Pat Cummings and DLee to root for. I appreciated and don't forget the diving into chairs, the 62 point game, trying to pass to Fishlips in the playoffs, scoring 36 and trying to shove the ball down Hibbert's throat, winning something here, ANYTHING, even if it was deemed a "fool's gold" division title by the fabulously brilliant on here. I never thought it was good ethics to just say, "Go eff off old guy, all that you did is now ancient history, the world lives on ping pong balls, March Madness brackets and potential now."

However I see Melo, I would never try to deem what's "fair" for him. All this constantly repeated "He needs to chase rings" "He needs to do what's best for himself" has always sounded so trite and just a clownish way of saying "I think you really suck now, so please leave".

Is it fair for KP and Willy to wait for the gradual rebuild? Apparently our 21 year old Latvian isn't all that thrilled with the prospect, if blowing off Mr. Big Chief Architect and all this translated mumbling he's doing is any indication.

What if Melo's serious about winning here? Do I know what he's really serious about? Do you?

Damn, I can tell you've been through all the pain these past 2 decades....I started being a fan in the early 90s so I had a taste of success

the problem is that not only has the NBA changed but the players have changed as well and money plays a big part of that. Also, with the salary cap rules- we see mediocre players getting paid like theyre superstars and with that it changes their approach of working harder to improve. You just have to embrace the change in culture

KP and Willy are both young and they are the main core of the rebuild right now - KP is toooo young to be complaining and im sure they'll speak to him.

Phil has changed the culture, with regards to assembling a team, and you can say that this is the first time in 18 years that we are actually tryin to fully rebuild through the draft. He has noticed that its easier to develop young players the way they want to instead of signing veterans to big contracts that have learned bad habits and are unwilling to change
