Knicks · My opinion at 7 43 and 58 (page 1)

BRIGGS @ 5/12/2017 5:54 PM
7 Frank Jackson

43 Jordan Bell

58 Deonte Burton or Tyler Dorsey

I have realized over the last two days just how devalued Frank Jackson had become and smart teams will realize it. There is NO doubt in my mind that he is a 1 who is big enough to flash to 2( which is good for the Knicks) he's 6-3+ with long arms powerfully built with the jump shot already in place. He stood next to Jay Williams and looked 3 inches taller with huge shoulders. He's so much more nba ready than almost any of these guys physically and hes18-19 years old. He has the physical cha tertiaries of a top 3 pick. I've struggled with pick 7. I don't love it. I didn't like that fox weighed 169 I think frank n is 2 years away physically-- Jackson looked all of the pure nba pg yesterday and no one other than Jordan Bell stood out in both game competition and athletic/ physical measurements. Very impressed He's just got the goods and was slightly hidden at Duke

If the Knicks can move there 43 pick up to get Bell I think that would be prescient. I'm not sure at 43 he's there. I'm not sure we need another 7-2 player. Bell is what we need

stanleybostitch @ 5/12/2017 6:16 PM
I'm on the Bell train, but would rather Ntilikina at 7 than Jackson.
nixluva @ 5/12/2017 6:22 PM
I just have no frame of reference with Frank Jackson. Didn't see enough to say he's worth a #7 pick. IMO we want a kid that did more than flash a couple of times. We need an IMPACT player. Not for nothing but it really doesn't matter to me that Fox is 170 lbs. Fox has all the time he needs to put on some Muscle! I actually want him to stay slim and quick. Just get a bit stronger.

I like Bell but I want a 2 Way SF that can run and finish, shoot and defend. Blossomgame, Brooks, Hart, Iwundu and Bacon will be available at 43.

LivingLegend @ 5/12/2017 6:43 PM
Per Begley....Knicks top 6 list includes.

Fultz
Fox
Ball
Frankie
Monk
Jackson (Josh - not Frank...Briggs so settle down)

No Tatum.

I think if chips fall right and Sixer's don't nab Monk ----- Knick's take Monk and play him as PG/SG in triangle.

Best shooter, scorer and athlete combination in the draft --- ok...maybe Fultz could argue these points.

StarksEwing1 @ 5/12/2017 6:57 PM
I'm just hoping at worst we stay put. id love to move up and I'm not holding my breath luck

The way he handled the ball yesterday--the different gears he used to get to the hoop with power athleticism and body control--the controlled dribble defensive stance getting others involved with the pass and good vision. He didnt even shoot it well but no matter --we know he can do that--he will be a +40% NBA 3 point volume shooter. His physical characteristics give the 7th pick safety. Were not picking a frail or questionably skilled player. Hes put together like a football player at 18 yet he also can finish at the rim. This was what a 5 pick coming into the year from HS--and he slid as he was used in a secondary role at Duke with so many other playmakers. Hes more controlled than Smith with a cleaner release--he played within a winning system at Duke and didnt have the ability to run and gun it like Fultz Monk or Smith. This is like drafting Deron Williams at 7.

Bell is like a slimmer Ben Wallace. Undersized but ultra quick with the intangible skills. Passing high % FG defense rebounding think about our bigs they are both kind of slowish type defensive players--you can throw Bell in with either for defensive synergy--jmho.

I haven't seen enoughh of Ntilikina to say i want the kid. I think Jackson at #7 Is a stretch... but he's definately worth a 1st round pick. He's improved his stock greatly in the combine scrimmages. After the consensus top guards go, Frank Jackson should be in the mix to go next.

BRIGGS @ 5/12/2017 8:20 PM
I also like Derrick White in the 2nd rd--I thought he showed a great deal. I know he can play PG at close to 6-5

2nd rounders

Bell
White
Dorsey
Burton

EnySpree @ 5/12/2017 8:20 PM
If the Knicks don't move up in the lottery, we really need to consider trading down.... I'm praying we can get a first and or second rounder in a Melo trade too. This is a seriously deep draft

I would seriously consider trading 7 for all of Portland picks if they would consider that. This draft will be all over the place. I would wait for the draft to go and then offer it if it moves poorly for us.

BRIGGS @ 5/12/2017 9:28 PM
Id be aggressive with Bell White and Dorsey

If we traded down with Portland?

15 Jackson 6-3 PG

20 Bell 6-8 PF

26 White 6-5 PG

43 Dorsey 6-4 SG

58 Burton 6-5 SF

That would be a fantastic draft for us. Jackson, Bell and White would accelerate this rebuild.

Portland needs a star as they can't afford to pay 3 first round picks. They probably would draft a big like Lauri from Arizona at #7. Makes sense for both teams to make that trade....

This reminds me of when then Nets traded Eddie Griffin #7 for Richard Jefferson #13, Jason Collins and Brandon Armstrong... worked out really well for the Nets

I want to take a serious look at Diallo to--too much information at once here:) A little difficult to sort--but the reality is that were rebuilding and this is a high quality deep draft

reub @ 5/13/2017 10:08 AM
I want more draft picks. This draft is crazy deep all the way through to #60.
Vmart @ 5/13/2017 12:09 PM
This based on if the Knicks pick 7.
Ntlikina 7
Semi 43
Hart 58
callmened @ 5/13/2017 12:37 PM
the lottery is coming up on tuesday right? so we cant assume the knicks are picking 7th.

i mentioned frank jackson as a PG before the ncaa yr started. he played off the bench and showed some good potential. no way i take him in the lottery though

ekstarks94 @ 5/13/2017 12:49 PM
No way in hell Frank Jackson will make it into the lottery...I like him a lot but late...real late first...early second.

Id express using the 7th pick to acquire more picks with the intention of taking Jackson AND 1-2 other players. I think quality in depth in the draft is unique. Also Frank Jackson will be better than people drafted over him--maybe VERY high up. No doubt in my mind. Lets get Frank N Fox and Jackson into the same gym and see what is what.

Or better yet, let's get them all on our team.

After the consensus top pg picks, Fultz, Ball, Fox, Monk, Smith, Nitty.... who is a better point guard prospect than Frank Jackson?
