Knicks · What about giving it one year of fun before we tank (page 1)

Hi all

I must say that I'm not that positive about the next few years.

I can't see this team become great, and I don't think we have the building blocks to make New York great again! (sorry guys)

That is why I think we should start to tank, but maybe we should give it one more year before we do it. No matter what we do we will not be competitive next season, but maybe we can have a team that is fun to watch.

First of all I think we should try to retain Melo. He is a fun player to watch, and at the same time his trade value is not very high do to his problems with Phil. What would make Melo happy? The answer will be bringing in his good friend Rondo. Rondo could be persuaded to sign a minimum vet-deal to play with his good friend in New York on a funny team.

Second we should try to sign Blake Griffin. Rondo-Griffin will be showtime no doubt about that.

The last trade we should make is trying to get the funniest guard in the league Isaiah Thomas. I think we should try to trade Porzingis for Thomas and picks, which Boston might do, as they will be loaded on guards with Fultz coming in. We might even be able to make a deal also involving Jay Crowder if Celtics sign Hayward(can any of you make the fair trade in which we get both Thomas and Crowder 2 of the best contracts in NBA).

When Noah comes back it will be a really funny team to watch. I know we will not contend, but we will at least be funny to watch.

Wasn't this what we tried this past season?

When was Melo friends with Rose or Noah? When was Rose friends with anyone, actually? Not sure how this past season was engineered to be "fun"...

MG22 - you keep saying funny; are you talking about a basketball team or stand-up comedy?
Or did someone hack your UK account?

You'd be trading a 22 year old Porzingis, for a 5"9', 28 year old PG that underachieved playing for our current head coach? How does that make any sense, now or in the future?

Isaiah is a phenomenal player. I don't think they'd do an even KP-Isaiah exchange let alone give us picks too.

What do you think the shelf-life of Isiah Thomas really going to be? If he loses just a step, I think he can be out of the league as quickly as an Iverson was.
