Sitting down this past week with a devout Laker fan who I consider knowledgeable in hoops, the topic of the Draft surfaced. After a pint or two, we both came to the conclusion that Ainge should pluck Lonzo # 1 and not extend I Thomas. Surely If they secure Haywood from Utah and Zo, and formulate a package to pitch to either Indiana or Chicago for George or Butler, they challenge Cleveland in a meaningful way. Package could be IT and Bradley and throw in a big or a draft choice.
Sure. I thought Of my beloved Knicks. Conjuring meaningless schemes involving Melo being packaged to LA or elsewhere, and of course squeeze another first rounder with OQuinn and Lee as fodder. Somehow the thought of D Fox not playing in Ny became a sad reality. So again my thoughts veered to Boston - a team Ive hated for 50 years. I thought of the Boston fans and LaVar Ball. Only Boston fans could treat him appropriately and sure should his son prevail as a distinguished player they'd know to cheer the son and jeer the Dad. I'll dwell on the machinations of our Knicks roster tomorrow but frankly tonight I'll think about how to defeat the Cavs or the arrogant Warriors with a Roster that Danny Ainge will soon develop.
they are getting smoked. Not even close. There is clear pay back for the Celtics being arrogant and thinking home court would matter.
Ha hahahahahahahahahahaha!
