Or, its staying in shape while the best players are still playing. Its called "DOING YOUR JOB"........
An athlete's job is to be prepared. The heroic notion of coming in shape to camps is long in the past. Sure, some players come in out of shape, but that is more a past time.

I don't know why this branding post somehow is to impress us? 6 weeks the knicks been done for the season.
A man who gets paid 27million to play basketball should keep his game up in the off season.

This on Memmorial day? The man truly faces obstacles and setbacks? What? He cheated on his wife, and his boss said he holds the ball too long and they want to trade him. The man is truly an inspiration?
Melo does not have to post this kind of stuff! He is 25th all time scoring and thats no easy feat. He does come in to camp in shape.
This is what all stars do. They have to. Its his job.

His kid is healthy. His marriage was self inflicted. His boss wants him to work somewhere else. This is not heroic, its life.

Seems like a Puff Piece designed to remind all the Playoff Losers that Melo could be what the need to take another step up the ladder. Clearly many of the losing teams know this is an arms race and that they didn't have enough firepower to go further. Melo is now in Mercenary Mode! I hope this works and he gets a bunch of teams calling about trading for him.

DailyKnicks articles all seem to be fluff pieces.

I think most GM's know Melo is dedicated to his craft. That is not the issue. His salary and kicker are huge. The NTC, also a big issue. Naive to think a GM would be motivated by a puff piece.

Most puff pieces aren't necessary but it sets a tone in the Media and Fanbase that can build up external pressure on a GM to do something! Melo will be hanging out there on the lips of fans n Media as a solution to a playoff team's problems. Don't underestimate how public opinion can have an impact on a GM's decisions.

I think it is the offseason and there is not a lot to write about. Was that short video worth an article?

I like his outfit - he was killing this basket again and again...
But man how boring it is... 6 years and counting...

Tired of Melo and his stupid motivational quotes.

You know who needs perseverance? Me as a fan trying to watch you stay in shape or follow the coaches game plans.
