top 25..
they're linking Tyrke evans to the knicks as the best fit, but that's it.

honestly this isn't your best FA class, so I'm just wondering what you guys think about him.
T.Evans is actually a pretty good player that plays both sides of the ball but better on defense but he just can't stay healthy.
As a rebuilding team do you really want any of them? I wouldn't touch a FA who I think would stunt the growth of the young players.
I think the FA I have the most interest in is Patty Mills...
I don't really like Evans but I could see him being a fit in the triangle. He wouldn't have to be a traditional point guard. He's just bigger and stronger than pretty much every other PG in the league
The other guy I have a lot of interest in is Taj Gibson... I wish we had him instead of Noah
Mills looked D league against GSW.

this is a 85% role player FA class, and we don't really have a host of young players whose growth would be stunted. if the knicks draft a PG they will look to make a move to get a vet pg..I seriously doubt baker and randle are anything more than fall back options.
Best bet Im guessing is finding a good bench player somewhere who is looking to start from day one. Using that as a pitch. They would need to find someone who looks like they're ready to take the next step. Holiday might be that player. One less season to figure out the Triangle.
Would also like to see Phil sign or trade for a respected veteran (maybe a former star) who can mentor all these newcomers to the NBA. Even if its from the bench.

Injuries and all he would come in and become our best overall player. I love the guys game

Considering he's still pretty young, he might be a solid gamble. He can replace some of Melo's scoring on the wing, with better defense and playmaking.

In addition to Noah?
I think we've got one nailed solid

It's not so much stunting any players growth - its taking up a roster spot and killing cap flexibility.
We should have room to take advantage of player dumps like Philly has where they were able to get first round picks just for taking players off a roster.

that would be my preferred method of using cap space too
He is the SF version of C Lee isn't he? Plus I thought we were already looming at ET via trade.

that plan hasn't gotten them any where, and anyone paying attention to philly needs go in the opposite direction....none of their 1st rnd picks have done anything including EMBiid , and they are ready to start trading them

Cap space is as good as any player they would add. With the savings you could buy your first round picks.

Right, nothing says mentor like a drug suspension, and showing up out of shape, after the big payday. Noah spent a good part of the season trying to lose the excess baggage he should have gotten rid of before the season started.
Ive been a huge fan of Noah since his days at Florida, but he hasn't been much of a mentor these days, on or off the court. We still need more vets anyway, we played more rooks than any other team. Better to bring in more players who can help get the 1st and second year players get up to speed.
This team needs to sign Jrue Holiday and pair him side by side with his Bro <resigned>.
No FA's Knicks, need to take bad contracts for draft picks, We need to be very bad at least one more year. This team wont make the playoffs anyway a top 3 pick is needed

I think the Knicks are a lock to be really bad next year and probably the year after that. I think free agents probably look for better opportunities and I hope the Knicks keep the cap space and try to use to acquire youth/picks by taking on bad contracts.
