My worry with him is unlike a Klay Thompson, Luke will struggle at the next level on defense.
Great shooter.
JJ Redick type of player, with more athleticism.
With our team being built with Willy, KP. I think we need athletic, defensively talented wings and guards around them.
If we have a second pick, I take Luke for his ability to come in off the bench as a sniper, scorer.
At 8, I don't take him. At 8, I'm looking for an all-star or a longterm starting point guard that can help KP/Willy get easy baskets, and also help them on defense (by not being a poor defender, think of how Ron helps them by being physical and fighting through screens, not needing as much help).

I dont think JJ can handle the ball pass or rebound nearly as well. I think if you look back at his hS tapes--he played PG and you can kind of see what he can do. Ill tell you one thing he can do---shoot! Quick perfect release. Im wondering if this is the new age Chris Mullin right here--especially now where the game is controlled from 30 feet.
Briggs, good enough for #8?
Future role player. I just don't see it he can shoot that's about it. Besides Duke players make for good role players.

I think he's going to go 10-13
I'm pretty set with Frank N at 8 unless we trade down. I have a feeling however the way the nba is going like K will be a nice nice piece for the right team.
Luke may have better point skills than Redick, but his defense is still going to be a major concern.
With KP/Willy, you don't want to have slow weak defenders at the perimeter
You want active, aggressive, physical defenders who will fight through screens.
I haven't seen Luke's games at Duke, only his highlights. I tend to think he will struggle at the NBA starting level as a defender. Am I wrong on that perception? I'd like to get him if we trade Lee for a second pick. As a primary lottery pick, I'd want to take a chance on Nti, DSJ or Monk.

I think it's possible Luke can be the new age chris Mullin the way the nba is played now. I don't think he will be a knick although I'd rather have him than some other players mentioned
I'm all in with Frank. N. He's a very reasonable prospect at 8

I'm happy at the thought of Ntlikina. I looked at Kennard's game and he is going to be a decent contributor. Fits today's NBA.
Ntlikina reminds me of a young John Wall.
