Its a match made to happen. Minny wants a big--they have the ability to move down 2 and get the same thing. I DO not think that big is Issac. Its either Allen or Collins. So NY --if they really want this player--better evaluate the scenarios closely--Dont trust Cuban!
That would mean Isaac would be their at 8!!!
Dallas wouldnt pass on Smith if he is there for Frank imo. It would be a match made in heaven.

Yep, I'd be happy with that. If mavs do swap with twolves then that means someone will have to fall

you know the answer to that. total mislead of a thread title.
Minny is in desperate need of a PG to take them to the playoffs .. Rubio is a tier 3 PG receiving starters pay n contract.
This has to be BRIGGS way of saying he wants Ntlikina to be a Knick.

They just drafted Dunn last yr. I can't see them taking another pg

A team that's been in the lottery 10 straight times, has zero clue on how and who to draft. If they had 3 serviceable pg's they would draft another because he's the most talented.
Rubio was like 2nd or 3rd in the league in assist, that's not tier 3, just because he doesn't dunk, shoot 3's like curry, and get triple doubles like westbrook, doesn't make him a tier 3.
Cuban using reverse psychology. Nit will be a NOT. Hope Knicks dont draft the long shot. As he seems to be Grant 2.0. Knicks best stay with the more known draft picks. Would love Monk but he is probably gone Think Smith will surprise and go early. May have a chance at Fox as i think he may drop due to his lack of outsude shot. Lauri or Mitchell seem good. But like every draft, its needles in hay stack scenario.

Even if it's something BRIGGS conjured up, it makes good sense. The Mavs are moreso in the market for a guard and the Wolves are moreso in the market for a big. Swapping picks allows both teams to better achieve these goals. I do wonder what else the Mavs can offer the T'Wolves to move up though?

There is a rumor that Sac wants to trade up to 3 with Philly to draft Fox.

I worry about the Grant similarities as well, but the other side is that he is way younger than Grant and unlike Grant his outside shot is much much better. Grant was what a 4 year college player? He already developed his tendancies. Nti can still be molded and made into a player that fits what the Knicks want him to do.
I think there is a chance he will disappoint like Grant, but there is a much larger chance he will be better by quite a bit.
The area I think the Knicks can improve the quickest and easiest is on defense. By making a few changes to their rotation from last year, they can go from defensively poor/challenged to pretty good defensively. Need more minutes for Lance Thomas, CLee, and to sign a veteran free agent like Amir or PJ Tucker who defends the bigger forwards well (KP can not). Then you add a kid like Frank at PG, and we know Baker does well on defense, you have a lineup that defends at 4, 3, 2 and 1. Use KP more as an anchor at 5 that doesn't have to take on smalls, I think the defense will improve quite a bit.

Tyus Jones is also there.

LaVine as well.
And they also want to try and sign Rose with free agency money.
I think Thibs wants to trade Rubio, sign Rose to be the immediate starter with Dunn backing him up, or Dunn.
Can't see them go PG. I think they want Isaac or Lauri.

I just read today that they're interested in going after G.Hill, J.Holiday or J.Teague in free agency.

They are both above 6'3 and have pigment similarly looking to chocolate.

Which is why I worry they'll screw us yet again and take Frank.

That Flynn, Rubio draft was bizarre. Rambis was going to run the triangle and his gm drafted two point guards consecutively at 5 and 6. The plan was to run and use the triangle if the offense bogged down. Sound familiar? The triangle made the transition to the nba much harder for Flynn and then he got hurt. It was a horrible roster that was horribly coached.
