Also Phil has made comments before about how Duke players do not pan out in the league because of the Duke system

Kennard with Detroit's pick at 12. At 8, no. He's likely a great bench player for a team like ours because of defensive limitations. Don't think DET would deal it, but if they did CLee/O'Quinn/44+58 for 12/Leur I would be ok if they took Kennard at 12. Draft Nti at 8, Kennard at 12.
If Nti's a good defensive player, maybe start Nti/Kennard down the road in the future.

not necessarily opposed, but definitely not excited about the idea. I think he would be in consideration if we can get some Portland's picks

The kid can shoot the rock and i don't think because he played at Duke means he won't be able to shoot the rock in the NBA. I also don't think Kennard gets enough credit for his athleticism either cause he's not your normal white boy shooter that can't/doesn't play defense. He won't be a great defender but i think he'll be better then most think. I've compared him to G.Heyward but smaller and not quite as good on defense.

I wonder if hes something between Chris Mullin and Dragic. I think hes a better athlete than Mullin but not quite as quick as Dragic. IMHO hes better than Jackson from North Carolina. Mullin in todays nba wouldve avg 30 a game.

I have no problem with the pick if that is who they like the most. I was very impressed watching him last yr on duke. Very crafty scorer, top notch shooter and very solid passer when he wanted to be. High bball IQ. Moves well without the ball. Defense probably needs work but is it horrendous? Is he capable of guarding SGs adequately?

You want a Mullin type this player should be a Phil target.
