Knicks · If Cuban moves up and takes Ntili...is it a bad thing? (page 2)

I'm fine with Ntilikina especially if things get resolved with Melo or we trade Melo and keep Rose.
With a star creator like Melo or Rose on the perimeter, Nti can start right next to them and focus on defense, learning tge game, shoot 3's and all that stuff. He seems like a hungry for wins type of kid like KP is. Not leaving his team during a playoff run. Not many guys would do that.

If that's who they think is BPA, lets do it.
Just don't put pressure on him to be the primary guard right away. Maybe keep Melo or Rose (not both, our chemistry is better with one).

I agree.....u don't want to throw a rookie out there too early. But like KP....Frank is not a normal rookie. He has professional experience....There will be an adjustment period to the speed....but between baker and Lee.....he will not be forced into any major roles from the start. I would have him come in and destroy the bench players first.....until he's ready.

This is why having Randle and Baker is important. Nitty can simply be part of a three or foursome of guards who split time appropriately. This is one of Hornacek's sweet spots as coach.

I think this is where we messed up with Grant. There are straight up killers at the point guard position. Yes, you have guys who came and started wrecking shop early in their careers, but you want ease guys in for the most part. That said, I think we would need to sign a veteran point guard. It doesn't have to be holiday. It doesn't even have to be a starter. But we need someone with experience who can soak up minutes and mentor the younger guys.

How is Patrick Beverly not perfect?
Kemet @ 6/21/2017 12:47 PM
I want Frank Nitty .. i was afraid of the Wolves grabbing Frank Nitty defensive mindset with 7th pick to go alongside of Lavine/Wiggins/Kat scoring power.
Now the Mavs coach Rick Carlisle want Frank Nitty defense too.

Im not interested in any of the one dimensional offensive guards in this 2017 draft class .. I wasnt interested in drafting or having Steph Curry in a Knick uniform until after head-coach Mark Jackson spent 2 season teaching Curry how to be a 2-way PG with a perimeter threat to open up the offense

Jose Calderon was very good mentor. He was beloved in Toronto by the yoots there.

Yeah, but he was shot and couldn't lead by example.
