kp for jaylen and jae plus we get number 3 plus keep number 8.
ummm ok
i want to say let him carry his latvian ass but i like the kid, but damn thats a haul, especially if we get to keep all of our picks this and next yearwhile that's a huge quantity of assets, KP will likely far and away be the best player in the deal. He's viewed as Dirk 2.0. There's a reason that Ainge, the guy who stockpiles picks like his life depends upon it, is willing to entertain trade discussions with us, despite Phil's incredibly high asking price
Hoarded assets don't make an impact to games until realized. Ainge saves them for just in case something like this comes available. Good move by Ainge and a good move by Phil for drafting the right player that can help get assets for a rebuild.
I agree with this. But what's the best case with these picks? A potential face of the franchise, who is 21 y/o, and a future star? isn't that what we'd be giving up?
plus more players, Im sorry but how could you be against this. Porzingis is a center his value in the NBA today is like a Guard in the NFL

we need so much at a certain point it would be insane not to say yes. but I do feel compelled to remind people that KP will likely be the best player in any deal, by a mile, and the players that get drafted will hold far less value than the pick... Brian Windhorst said something like "first round picks are like new cars--their value plummets the second you drive it off the lot" a month or so ago. I agree. Barring injury, the Knicks will get great value for KP whenever they trade him. If we trade with Boston, once we draft all these guys, we wouldn't be able to trade them for KP or equivalent. Not to mention, there is always the risk that we strike out on a pick
for the reasons you state, we shouldn't do the deal
Listen, guys like Lebron, Steph, KD, Harden even Melo -- they don't come around every year. KP and KAT are the two most likely candidates to attain that status in the last few drafts. We should keep KP for that reason
The draft picks could turn into Oladipo, DeAngelo, Okafor or any number of other picks who sounded sexy but left fans and teammates unsatisfied.
Phil should resist the temptation. Having said that, if he and Gaines think there are real gems in this class and if does trade him then he should get a boatload in return
KP will never be on that level he doesnt create offense for others

So anyone who isn't Lebron, Steph, KD, Harden level is trade bait?d

Yes why not, Im not sold KP is a generational talent , I dont think he will hold up long term. Throw in he is a malcontent chucker if someone is giving me 2 lottery picks and a starter I would pack his bags for him

It's too bad this post is going to be mostly ignored.
There's no way the Celtics were going to give up Crowder, Brown, 3 and what would amount to a likely high future lottery pick.
Zinger is trying to force his way off this franchise. His price is only going to go down at this point.
Market approximation would have likely been something like 3 and Smart for Zinger and 8. I recognize a lot of guys here think Zinger is worth more than that, but sorry, he's just not at this point and time.

You really have no idea how to read this. KP has increased his social media presence, has added videos with more Knicks gear than previous videos, and his brother has said countless times if he's traded he will exercise his free agency and decide his destination from there. He wants Phil gone, but this guy is scared $hitle$$ of being traded. He is putting pressure on Dolan to remove phil, by worse case scenario, his contract technically runs longer than Phil's, so he knows the outcome here. Wake up and smell the coffee. This guy wants to excel in NY in the worst way, just not under the current circumstances. Your analysis is even less accurate than your accuracy in nicknames.
