Knicks · Purchasing 2nd Round Picks... Some Observations. (page 1)

GS paid $3.5M for #38, and Clippers bought #s 39 & 48. Have a feeling that $3.5M might be the most you can pay for a pick, but I'm not sure of this.

Had read a story about us maybe combining our #2s to move up further in the 2nd Round.

Anyone with ideas of who might have been picked before #38 (were any earlier picks sold?) who we might have wanted?

Bacon went at #40, and we had worked him out...seems like we could have picked him up for the right amount if we had wanted him.

Just throwing this out...

Would have loved the Knicks to buy Bell for the $3.5MM. Not sure why we didn't- Phil's phone ran out of juice?

It's not the most you can spend on a pick. It's the most you can use for cash considerations over the course of a season. If you use $1M in a trade that would mean the team only has $2.5M left to spend the rest of the year.

Isn't that the same as the most you can spend On a pick?
