Only guy that makes sense
Hinkie would be better. Ujiri is another guy but he just signed an extension last year. I personally think they need to look into bringing in the Cleveland Browns FO and see if they want to give Basketball a try.
Griffin makes a lot of sense. Good President, not a huge name. Ultimately, i want someone who is well-regarded in NBA circles with players, coaches, agents, and the media. We need to get the media on our side for once.

Didn't he draft Anthony Bennent? What exactly makes him a great GM? I am not sure he would be considered that highly if Lebron didn't go back to Cleveland.
he probably can get labron here next season

Hinkie and Ujiri wouldn't work. Dolan would push those guys to make hires that would ruin their plans.
Griffin might work for Dolan because Griffin overpaid and gave out bad contracts for the Cavs. I can see Griffin coming to the Knicks for the few years. Bleeding our assets and then Dolan getting tired of him when we inevitably come up way short.
Griff I hope is over his cancer and healthy . Maybe a year away to get even better?
Not sure why Gilbert other than being a dick let him go. Hard to guage the job he has done.
They had assets, got lebron back and they don't operate like other teams in that scenario.

On the staff but not the GM that drafter Bennett.

Highly disagree, Dolan wants to go back into the corner and be shielded by someone else who will take the blame. Ujiri isn't coming without full control and Dolan in the background. It seems Dolan like Ujiri as much or more than he did Phil. So I could see it working.

That's what he said when he hired Phil.
He talks about wanting to stay out but it doesn't happen. When people tease him about the Knicks when he's playing his horrible jazz music, it gets to him.
What's different between Ujiri and Phil besides the fact that Ujiri will not have as much political power in the organization. And somehow having less political power will make it so Dolan meddles less?
If you can tell me what will be different this time around, please let me know.
