Just taking stock of all the hoopla from Knicks Fans on twitter it occurred to me that they must think things are going to magically change for the Franchise. It's as if they think we're suddenly NOT in a REBUILD and that there's now the possibility of some SUPERSTAR coming to the Knicks like CP3!!!
WAKE UP! That's not gonna happen. We still have a mostly young team with a few old guys. This is still a team very much rebuilding. No one came to be with Melo and how has that changed cuz we fired Phil??? No we're still looking at a lengthy process of developing our young players to the point where a Top Free Agent sees this as a great landing spot. The Knicks still need for KP, Willy etc to show real growth next season and the year after that for this to become a prime FA destination.
Just food for thought and a bit of cold water for all the fans that are jumping for joy right now.
Hey weren't coming here. Melo doesn't draw them in and they want nothing to do with Melo or the NY media. Only way they come here is to get a last big contract when no one else is willing or they are pretty much finish.

EXACTLY! The truth is this process that Phil was starting and why he wanted to move Melo is cuz the reality is no BIG NAME STAR is coming. This is gonna have to be done the hard way. At least Phil started the process cuz this is not suddenly gonna be an instant quick fix. I don't know what all these people think is supposed to happen but there's not BANANA BOAT PARTY coming to MSG!

So with your LOGIC then we should see the flood gates open and Big Name Stars should flock to NY right? What has this Power play really done for the franchise? We're in no better shape to drastically improve the club via Free Agency. No we're still in a REBUILD situation only now any new GM knows he's never gonna have real power cuz Dolan will side with the Players and Agents over them. How's that good for the Knicks? Just a new CAA type situation.
