We need to get Joe Dumars to run the Knicks front office and we need Mark Jackson to coach the Knicks and develop the youth movement. If that doesn't happens, Knicks fans need to boycott Knicks games until Dolan sells team.
I think they need to fire Hornacek as he lost all authority the past year. I'd rather we hire JVG than Marc Jackson
Why go after Masai, when we can go get Joe D, who has won as an exec or New York's own in Kenny Smith.
They talking about picks and etc for masai!!! Give me a break!!!
I really don't think Rambis will be there, Honestly. His wife is a friend of Jeanie Buss, and is working at Lakers.
People would not believe it but Rambis is 4 times champion. He has 2 rings as a player and 2 rings as assistant coach. Well, it is two more than Knicks has ever had.
He will be gone, for sure. His connection with Lakers is very strong.
Why do that to Mark Jackson?

. Seriously, I think Phil was part of Jeff's problem. Since this team is likely not going to win away, you might as well give Jeff one more year. Next year really should be about developing our young my guys and getting another high draft pick. We should also use our cap space to try to gain another draft pick.
Lets see what the direction is going forward. Jeff is a capable coach and deserves the opportunity to go forward. Its important that the next guy have full faith and confidence in his coach.
I'd think full and long about making any more coaching changes. not that our roster is established and burnt out from all the changes, but KP needs stability.
With the exception of Noah, I thought Phil was following his owners wishes to retain Melo and has done a good job moving the franchise forward.
Im not sure what the fuss is about Phil and the rejoice of fans with his departure.
If we continue to go Euro and keep our core, if any coaching change is to be made Perhaps David Blatt is a good choice.

the Joe who drafted Darko over Melo/Wade/etc? The Joe who signed Josh Smith to a big contract with Greg Monroe and Drummond on the roster? I mean Joe did a great job building that title Pistons job and an equally incredible job destroying it. Dumars has plenty of warts.

Phil told anyone that would listen that he had Carte Blanche and if didn't, along with 60 MILL, he wouldn't have accepted the job. Dolan said as much as well...apparently you weren't listening or you just don't want to believe it as you were always a staunch phil supporter.
According to reports, Melo was all but gone to the Clipper but Doc Rivers turned down a deal (or couldn't make up his mind) that would have sent Melo and Sasah to the Clips for a combination of Crawford and Rivers (and another player that slips my mind right now). Dolan didn't stop that deal, Rivers did.
Need to establish the front office, first before we look at coaches....

Agreed...Its crazy when you think about that Pistons team. It doesn't feel like it was that long ago when they won but the NBA has changed dramatically from the time Dumars was winning to now. I'd prefer someone who is innovative, has roots in a winning organization or at least one that's involved with the current metrics of the game, etc...

Did you forget of everything Dumars did AFTER winning "as an exec"? It wasn't pretty.
And to be frank, I like Mark Jackson but hate to have to deal with bullshit sermons and religious overtures every single time he has a press conference. That stuff can be highly divise and seemed to run afoul amongst players in that Warriors lockerroom and alienated co-workers throughout the organization.
lol joe dumars? yeah, no thanks.
Would like to see Jeff get a season to show what he can do on his own. Might have the right coach, only one way to find out. Hornacek would also have the time to get the defensive coordinator he wants this time around.
