Really? Thought it would be a resounding "no!"
Can we at least veto Griffin? Cleveland's record has nothing to do with Griff. If anything, Cleveland has been a management nightmare bailed out only by the fact that they have Lebron.
Big NO to Griffin.
Calipari's NBA track record speaks against him. But on a 5 year look, a high percentage of young NBA talent came through Kentucky. Worth considering his relationships.
But, the Knicks need a real professional with a statistical mind. I'd give a 2nd rounder for Masai Ujiri. Or a top 28 protected first :)
I don't want a rookie or a retread. I want a Brian Cashman or Theo Epstein type.
No no no to Griffin. No. Just no.

I worry about Cal. I liked him when he coached the Nets. I think he would want to win right away and that might lead to some bad decisions. I do think he would be a grinder.

Ujiri is the logical choice. He would be paid well, but I think he could also get MSG to partner with him in his philanthropy. He's a true culture guy. DJstupid is much lamenting his potential departure and seems to think its going to happen.
If I were Dolan, I would offer both roles with the team and part ownership, vesting in 5 years or something like that.
Imagine what the stock price would do if they announced either were joining the team?
